Nah, the drama just comes and goes in waves ... sloshing back and forth in the ol' fornits slop bucket...  :D

All sounds really depressing;
and so dramatic;
probably could have been out in 4-6 weeks if you just shut up and went along for a few days during the first week.
Sometimes it is best to get the lay of the land before charging ahead like the Light Brigade.

I jumped through every hoop they put in front of me.(after my 3rd day that is ,when I tried to run from my oldcommers house and was chased down and dragged back) I stayed on my 10 to 10's for 4 1/2 months eventually living at home.
They were not going to let me go back to school or work. So I just split one night with the help of some friends. I didn't
come to fornits to bitch and moan about what they did to me. Instead  I was looking to find some people I used to know.
You know some other 50-somthings. (seed st. pete 1973) No drama.

I'm the same, came to see who might be around from my days ('78 - 83 cleveland to Ft. Lauderdale sr84)
I think most of the folks I knew have moved on, all of the conversations have been buried by the trolls.

The site was cathartic when I originally found it, keep hoping we can return to that - can't go back but I can hope.

Man, you were there from 78-83? 5 years, why? Don't tell me you drank the koolaid and liked it.
Sure, everybody had a different way of dealing with captivity. But to stay for 5 years, had you nowhere else to go?

My story? Not much of a story really. Got into some bullshit trouble at 17. (not drug related) But a public defender approched my parents and the court with the idea of the seed. He said all I had to do was complete the program and they would withhold judication.(no record). As I remember, if your parents signed you in,it was 2 weeks on 10-10
and then it was 90 days at home. For us court ordered kids , the program was twice as long. On my 3rd day I tried to split when we got out my oldcommer's parents car.
They (including 2 other new commers) chased me through thier neighborhood about 4 or 5 blocks when I twisted my ankle and they caught me and dragged me back.
So I tried the program. I repeated the party line just like everybody did, knowing that when I get home things will be much better.I would spend my days daydreaming about food. We never got enough to eat or drink. It was actually worse than the county jail. After about 6 weeks,I finally got to stand up in an open meeting and tell my patents
I.M COMMIN' HOME!!!, and every body told me they loved me.(lying sons of bitches!)So I stayed at home for the next 3 months or so. Never getting to go back to school or work. Just the goddamn 10-10's. One day when I came home my parents asked me somthing strange. They wanted to know if the seed ever asked me about money. Seems
the seed had been calling them begging for donations. Remember I was court ordered and the state was paying them. Nevermind the fact that they had already donated about
1000 sandwiches. I had enough. I called some friends that I had been in touch with since I came home, and I split for good.About 6 months later I was walking down the street
hassled by the cops ran my name and found a warrant for violation of a court order and sentanced to 10 days in jail. 10 FUCKING DAYS? THAT'S IT? after all I've already been through, bring it on! Which brings here a million years later.I googled the seed  to see if I could find anybody I knew, and I found fornits by way of Marc Polonsky. And even he seems to have disappeared. I read a lot of the posts here, and every once in a while chime in my 2 cents. Like I said "not much of a story" And I think I've gone over my 2 cent limit.

My experience with methedone came much later than than the seed. I've sat up all night a friend who was trying to kick.
I used to take him to the methadone clinic to get his fix. that shit kept him in check for a little while, but he finally did it on his own. As far as getting "works" it's easy and cheap.Ask any diabetic. The methadone clinic never gave out needles,. that's completely ridiculous
P S That wasn't even on this thread

None ya.. Interesting about the money, court order, warrant, Etc. i think that's the thread that will unravel the shroud. I've got a similiar story, but it's hard to find corroboration. Remember "maximum" morphonius?
P.S. Stack is just a wasteland, wild fantasy doesn't help. I'm interested, and I'm listening. J.O.M.
