Deaths at Therapeutic Wilderness Programs
« on: July 16, 2002, 11:29:00 PM »
There have been two recent teen deaths for apparently unexplained reasons at two TWPs.  One the end of May at Catherine Freer in Nevada.  The other this past weekend at Skyline Journey in Utah.  Curious about thoughts others may have.

It was a very difficult expidition, and I am not supprised that it took someones life. They had us in unfamiliar terratories with out trails, I mean the ULTIMATE bush wacking experiance. Plus they had us hawling around 75 pound back packs! Those conditions, along with the heat and poor food, made it extreamly difficult to skirt along the mountains, with nothing to hold onto bet scratchy manzinita bushes.
