The most successful vandalism attempt so far
« on: January 01, 2010, 04:46:41 AM »
I have to give the people who is vandalising this board so much that they are close to make this board unreadable.

We at spft are close to choose another board to publish our primary post at. I agree that some sub-forums should be un-moderated, but we believe that it should be the common non-industry forums only. The answer is not to forced everybody into a registration. It is just to delete whatever non-subject orientated answers which are inserted into thread to offend people enough so the people with real interest in this case stay away.

We have learned that a lot of the talk among survivors have moved to community networks like facebook. It is both good and bad. For the things to change, we need information about the industry on public message boards too. Covergaard has said this before. We need to adopt a non-industry related message board we should link to the wiki for or isac's database when news about the industry occur.

Things have changed. The abuse, sexual relationships and deaths are now mentioned in the media. It is no longer OK to kill a teenager and just move forward. The deaths are investigated and the programs suspended during the investigations. While a conviction still will be hard to get at least other teenagers are spared the ordeal while the investigations are going on for months. The owners loose money and some will be forced out of the business.

It is something we can use. Survivors can create and mention the death while telling their story and how they suffered. When they do that, the God today - the google ranks - will increased on the articles mentioning the deaths which will scare parents off when they google the net for so-called help for their troubled teens.

The decade 2000-9 proved to be the most deadly with 65 deaths during programs as far as we have been able to research. It is 20 more than the period 1990-9. This have to stop.

Deaths cannot be avoided because the industry are unable to learn. Sergey Blashchishen's death is an exact copy of the death of Erica Harvey 7 years ago. They both cooked to death due to various drugs in their system while the staff watched them die out in the desert. In both cases there were chances to halt the process while the effects of the drugs was wearing off but in both cases the staff insisted that they should be sent out in the desert as fast as possible far from the lifesaving hospitals.

So if the industry is unable to learn the only possible answer is to lower the number of teenagers in programs. Only with fewer in programs and it means an increased focus on parenting classes and community based solutions the need for programs can be lowered. Parents with little knowledge of the complex world of a teenager today and an unforgiving justice system which neglect the fact that a teenagers brain is not fully developed will remain to be a problem. So other solutions is needed.

So just because a lot of programs have been closed, the work is far from over. Therefore I call for that we moderate the industry-related subforums to the people vandalising the threads with articles of no interests and sexual / race-related offending terms can be removed. It is the future of Fornits, which is at stake.
