I can appreciate the differences you cited in that last point, Psy. I would like to think that the kids attending the nightly anointing rallies followed by the days of “intensified time of training, impartation, and application to inspire” are there of their own volition.
People at all ages are passionate about their beliefs or as the case may be non-beliefs. So, it’s not beyond the realm of possibilities that some who attend do so in accordance with their beliefs and to be with like minded others.
I do wonder if seminars and retreats that cater to the adolescent age range are mindful of the possibility that the attendee and the persons paying the registration fee may have different perspectives. If the parent is seen as the client and allowed to exhort their child with the use of these lessons then the will of the individual is being subverted in favor of an agenda.
