As a blogger I speak bad about everything, so no fines to me

The new guidelines from Federal Trade Commission could end up giving me a fine of 11K, but as long I remain critical against anyone and everyone in the behavior modification business and in general, I remain safe:

However I believe that  blogs refering to a specific program should be read and if something indicate that we are talking of a hidden referral, I guess a mail to FTC about the blog would be appropiate. I believe this set of guidelines regardless of how fair they people believe they are could be a tool to hit the hidden marketing schools and programs use.

Keep in mind that the governement can try and do a lot of things but whether it'll hold up in court under constitutional challenges is often a different story.

You're right, though, that this could affect some of the methods the industry uses (not that I expect anybody to abide by what the FCC demands on this issue).

Fuck the FCC. I'd rather all blogs be able to say what they want, regardless of whether or not I think it's full of shit.

As psy knows, you can always set up your own blog pointing that out.
