This looks like another oldie but goodie.
What ever happen here?
Was this a state funded program; or private?
What red falgs cn be pulled from this to help parents know how to better dicern a safe program?

I had to chuckle when I read that part. Does Woodbury get kickbacks from these places? I've never been able to find a single negative Woodbury Report and that alone should make parents cautious.

I lived there for 3 years. I am beside myself that programs like these are still running. I went to the movie store last week and I rented boot camp, I found myself flooded with memories, hurt, and emotions that I had tried for years to put behind me. I am a survivor, my heart goes out to everyone who has been through these " at risk youth programs, for troubled teens" and anyone taken from there homes in the middle of the night and not told where they are going, or how long they will be gone. My heart aches for the teen who what nothing more than to go home.

Things I have learned this week...
Gulags
Synanon-CEDU is named after the founder!!! Scary huh
Cafety.org
Teen need to know their rights
Parents need to be informed

Words I wish to never hear again...
Ram sacking, blind leading the blind, new girl, old girl, gage girl,
Shit pile, War stories, better half, Cedu, crooks creek, black butte academy, Mt Bachlor, Escorts, wilderness, your not aloud to cry, only 5 minute showers, bad girls, paddacks, shit duty, steve wants a meeting, steve wants to talk to you, oatmeal, who stole the food on the sink?, If you don't tell me what she did, you will be in more trouble then she is, druggie, your visit was cancelled because your not ready:(

I am sorry that we didn't have a datasheet about this program before now.

The only thing our researcher didn't find was survivor groups on either Myspace or Facebook. We will recommend that they exist because all the students have experienced the same but the world outside cannot understand them so some choose to end their lives. If they can get their nightmares confirmed instead of once again being met with claims of manipulation, they can move on.
