Diamond Ranch Academy Situation...
« on: September 04, 2009, 03:14:32 AM »
I'm a bit surprised that I was even sent an email given I have a banner ad of a Russian Escort service in my signature that sort of hovers about my email address. Despite this a person (not including gender to protect their identity for now) contacted me about finding former employees of Diamond Ranch to convince some people to take their child out of the school.

This is what I have told the person so far:

Ignoring the fact that HEAL thinks I'm the anti-christ, I told the person to contact Heal as if my memory serves me correctly they've had some success with getting children out of Diamond Ranch Academy.

I plan to go a bit furthter and send the person a second email saying:

Howdy,

Here are a few suggestions to helping you make this go a bit smoother and hopefully in the end it will be successful in getting the child out of Diamond Ranch.

1) Start a google email group so that you can easily communicate with all the members of group. Communicating back and forth can be a pain, but the more you open lines of communcations between you and those helping you the less you risk having someone doing something idiotic and causing some serious long term problems.
- Start a google group and invite those you absolutely trust.

2) The internet is a great tool for communicating and finding information. However, keep in mind that whatever you put out about the child and your intentions you lose your ability to move quietly. Be very careful what you post on public forums and other such places about the child and yourself. Should Diamond Ranch figure out what you are up to they will attempt to throw a monkey wrench into the gears. Programs regularly look over public forums, social groups, and use google to keep tabs on those who are against them.

3) When it comes time to speak directly to the parents do so in person. People over email and so forth are a different person all together and it is far easier to tell someone to jump off a bridge.
- For now keep in mind Diamond Ranch is doing everything in their power to protect their money maker. They are doing this by convincing the parents that they are right to send their kid to the program and that the kid is a habitual liar. They'll convince the parents their child can't be trusted in anyway shape or form.

- The longer you wait the harder it will be to get them to pull their kid, but not impossible. I strongly suggest you choose carefully who you have speak to the parents as a direct confrontation with them will probably work against the child's best interests. Don't let people who are apt to blow a gasket speak with these parents directly. I doubt a screaming match over the phone is going to help the child in the long run.

4) There are alot of good people, better people than me for that matter, who can help you. I've put out a request for help from others on www.fornits.com/phpbb and I will be directing any messages of support or offers of help your way. Though it would be very useful if you could provide an anonymous sounding email (make a new one that doesn't reflect your identity) so that I can make it avaliable to those who want to help.

I don't mind passing messages, but I think it would work better if they could communicate directly with you.

Good luck,
Che

As I said in the message I'm hoping the person will give me an email that I can make availiable. Until then if you have something that can help I'd be, probably more so the kid in the program, would be very appreciative if you can drop me a line.

Thanks!
