Someone With Seminar Knowledge
« on: September 02, 2003, 09:38:00 PM »
Anyone know who does the current PC1 seminars?  What are the "requirements" to be invited?  What level of kid, what seminars under the belt of parents, what locations?

I *think* this person is Joan (Joanne) Davis.  Is there more than one?  I know she is an uppity-up and staff folks "ooohhhh..." when she walks by.  She has power and authority in WWASPS.  How long is the PC1, and is it entirely on-site?  I know the whole compound shifts into high "major clean" gear for a couple of days beforehand, so all the kids know it is coming.  Are they not told their parents will be arriving at the facility forthwith?

Please reply only if you have ***real*** information.

There are several facilitators that do the PC's along with staff, and students.  The parents are required to be Discovery grads only for any of the PC's.  Who may attend are the parents/step parents.

There is no set in stone level for the PC1 seminar.  I've heard lower levels often are involved.

Never heard of Joan Davis, and I've been around for over 4 years - but not to Casa, only Cross Creek and Spring Creek.  As for the major cleaning - never noticed any difference from when I went on a visit or went to the PC, therapy visits, etc.,  It was always clean.  The food for the seminars was a little different, they served it in those carryout trays since we were on short breaks

Each school holds their own PC1 on campus.  The PC2 and 3 are usually in San Diego or St. George.

Forgot - they are 2 days, usually on a fri/sat. Starts around 9, ends around 7 each day.

Sorry - Just saw the question about the kids knowing.  No, they don't know if "THEIR" parents are coming, they do know about the seminar though.
