Washington, Apr 28 - A Constitutional Amendment to protect the parent-child relationship introduced by U.S. Rep. Pete Hoekstra, R-Holland, has reached 80 co-sponsors in the House.

"The grassroots movement behind the Parents’ Rights Amendment continues to generate support throughout the United States," Hoekstra said. "It is encouraging to see so many Americans concerned about preventing government and foreign interference into the parent-child relationship."

The Parents’ Rights Amendment has been featured in the Politico, Fox News Channel’s "The O’Reilly Factor" and on radio programs across the country. More information on the Parents’ Rights Amendment can be viewed at www.parentsrights.us.

The Parents’ Rights Amendment would state explicitly in the U.S. Constitution that parents have the right to raise their children as they see fit while protecting against abuse and neglect. Such threats to the parent-child relationship include potential U.S. ratification of the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child and reports that Planned Parenthood is advising children to lie about their age to obtain an abortion without parental consent.

"The threats to the parent-child relationship from courts, government and private organizations continue to grow," Hoekstra said. "The Parents’ Rights Amendment would protect against such assaults now and for future generations."

Hey anyone want to email Congressman Crackhead/Hoekstra and tell him what a loser he is?

I've already tried, but apparently you need to be a member of his little pisshole congressional district. No matter... Using Google I found the address of a Burger King in his district and used that instead.

Onwards!

dont worry, congressman crackhead wont be in politics for too long. he announced that he is not running for re-election in 2010. the bill wont pass in a democrat-controlled congress.

he wants to run for governor. he wont win, it's a certainty.
