Not all is well in Monarch School?

monarch is a couple chill kids, more annoying kids, and for the most part- power hungry blood sucking faculty that worship themselves like royalty all confined to a relatively small area in some twisted attempt to manipulate and then proceed to train the minds of young people to accept the word of authority without hesitation. sorry if you went through the experience of reading my disgruntled thoughts but have a good day!

Oh hello there...

Believe me.. I'll be looking into it further.

k so i have a ton of stuff to say about monarch...i will just summarize it here quickly..monarch school is an oppressive bureaucracy that specializes in the following, striking fear into the minds of adolescents to get them to do as told and carry out their rules when they are not there, exploiting the labor of said adolescents for their profit and to decrease spending, and gaining an overall sense of accomplishment when they make a kid cry or put that kid to work....overall monarch was a bunch of bullshit and i was only there for 7 months..if you want to hear more about what it is that i have to say just tell me and we can email or whatever it is that you wanna do

Althogh I learned a few positve things at monarch (like having a strong work ethic and how not to be such a big baby lol), I faced frequent humiliation during 2-3 hour long groups where I was yelled and screamed at about how I made the school "unsafe" and basically that I was a horrible person haha. I am currently being treated by therepy to help me cope with the night terrors that I experience about still being at monarch, or that I am being sent back. I was connstantly on "work assaingment", pretty much being isolated in the woods all day, everyday for a month at a time, only to come inside for meals where I wasnt allowed to look, speak or ingage with anyone except for "older students" who didnt want anything to do with me anyway haha. I have been home for about 3 years, and I find that I am now overly sensitive to critisism, I cry easily and I feel that everyone thinks that I am a horrible person. This post is my experience in a nutshell, so please feel free to contact me if needed

Prior to going to monarch, I didn't have much insecurity at all. In fact, I was almost never judging myself harshly. After being in several groups and faking the fact that I felt insecure about myself so I would not be criticized for not "being real," I began to notice that the more i faked it, the more these lies began to manifest into truth. ...  Read MoreUnfortunately, to a degree these thoughts have stayed with me since my Monarch experience which ended in December of 2007. However, I believe myself to be a lucky one- strong minded enough to resist the bulk of what was being imposed on us

Ultimately the biggest problem I had with Monarch School is the fact that I did not have the freedom to express my thoughts openly. I was instructed as to who and what I was allowed to talk to, get involved with, and even look at. The minimal amount of control I had during my stay at Monarch, I believe made me an exponentially angrier person. To ...  Read Morethis day I have tons of anger towards that school and my family having to do with my treatment experience. My family and I continue to experience constant conflict even though my parents have apologized for making the mistake of sending me to Monarch. The source of anger is the fact that nothing can compensate for 19 months of my life being swallowed by intense emotional distress.

Sounds like a Cedu clone.

Dude.. details. I'm doing this for a reason and asked about possible CEDU connections down on the CEDU board for a specific purpose. Apparently someone wants to spring a kid out of Monarch. If you got something I'm sure they could use it.

I've got nothing. That's why I'm asking. Nobody here can seem to figure out what the deal is with the name change, whether it was for innocuous reasons or sinister. Liam, I believe, tried to contact him for the film, since he is mentioned by several students, but got no response. Everything I know is the same as what everyone else on this board knows... Stambusky (now McKenna) started the school. CEDU alum, CEDU staff at RS and ID. Rookey, who isnt there any more, RMA staff. Tim Earle, Dan Earle's brother. Don't know too much about him, except that he is Dan's brother.

So we have a confirmed Cedu Clone with a direct linage to RMA.

Steve Rookey springs a few rusty sprockets. I remember my brother telling me he was the champion of 'Blowing doors off' amongst the RMA cultists.

Transitions of Galveston Island perchance?

Either way it numbs my mind to think that guys like Steve can't go down to the bank and get a job as a teller or something. All they have to do is shave, shower, maybe put on a nice shirt and tie.

I guess they don't teach useful shit like that in the CEDU system.

hahahahahah... that's fucking scary. Either way I'm having the kids from Monarch take a look at Liam's doco to make some comparisons. They mentioned a workshop system called insights that sound similiar to what I described for RMA. (24 hour marathon sessions with no sleep and little food)

I have no doubts of this, I just want them to confirm it for themselves rather than me asserting it with all my badassness.

Jesus.. Look at this shit.. Particularly take a gander of their restraint policy..

28 pages of flaming crap.

But damn, "protect Monarch School Personell or others from threat of harm."

WTH?

Maybe I'm getting senile but back in the day it was restraint when someone is actively attempting to harm themselves or another. Not threatening, not when he/she has just finished, not maybe in 30 minutes, and definitely not for threatening it.
