"Pathway Family Center, an adolescent substance abuse treatment center, announces expanded programming and new state contracts at both their Northwest Indiana and Indianapolis sites.

The new evidenced based programs are designed from Pathway’s comprehensive 12-step family centered approach to care. Terri Nissley, President and CEO said, “Pathway has been successfully serving families since 1993, and now with our clinical expertise and expanded services, we are excited that we will be able to serve more families who are struggling with substance issues.”

Pathway has begun offering a full continuum of care including: outpatient (individual and family), intensive outpatient services and their day treatment program for young adults and their families ages 10-21 at their Northwest Indiana Center. Pathway’s experts will continue to provide drug screening, and comprehensive behavioral and substance abuse assessments.

With recent contract awards by the Indiana Department of Child and Family Services, Pathway announced that their Northwest Indiana Center is now a provider for those families receiving services through the Indiana Department of Child and Family Services in Porter, LaPorte, Lake, Starke, Pulaski, Newton, and Jasper counties in Northwest Indiana and at their Indianapolis Center in Marion County.

Pathway is a family-centered facility that focuses on teaching coping strategies, life skills and strengthening both individual and family relationships. Its’ staff of professionals are experts in substance abuse and behavioral problems. If people have concerns about a teen or someone they know, call Pathway’s 24-hour parent help line at (800) 261-4605.

One thing I find interesting is that the article is not "authored", AND, it claims several counties are involved with this contract. BUT, if you read the contract and talk to the DCS folks, you find that PFC is only 'contracted" with Marion County and Lake County. I can assume that since they have this "contract", that they have to claim treatment in Porter now, even though it might only be during the day or something. They may have figured out a way to treat kids without a Level One at the Porter place saving that dubious distinction for Indy. There is "something" going on, not quite sure yet, but it totally STINKS like rotting flesh blended with large piles of hot steaming dogshit.
