"Two high-profile California-based law firms, Huron Law Group LLP and Masry & Vititoe - the latter made famous by the movie "Erin Brockovich" - are planning to enter the class-action suit in a Northern District Federal Court of California today, attorney Ed Masry told The Tico Times yesterday."

Well, I guess these things take time (2 months and still counting).

My questions are (1) which law firm is going to file the lawsuit?  I'm guessing HURON since they're the ones being heavily promoted (2) What is the criteria for joining the lawsuit and approximately how many people have already signed up? (3) Will there be a public announcement or press release made available soon? (4)Most of these kids were sent to these programs by their own parents who presumably did due-dilegence before enrolling their children in these programs. Are these parents somehow exempt from being held accountable for their own actions (or inactions)and if so, what legal-based arguments will be used? (5) If the class action is successful, what does this mean for all the other parents and children who did not join the lawsuit because they believed the program helped their child?

ANON,  parents held accountable?  i think wwasp was very manipulative!!!! look at the education they promoted on the web site! most children dont get their credits and are way behind when they get out, they say that the children get restrained if they are a danger to their selves of others  they dont tell you if they look, speak, scratch (thats self infliction)that they will be sent to O.P< and or be restrained.   you tell me if they told any one of you the truth,  you just dont want to look like a fool!!!! you sorry excuse for parents, and when your child turns 18 and doesnt graduate, are you going to be like they say?? dont let them come home ???  you need to spend time in O.P   spend the money and send your self to T.B   because you seem to be the problem   not your children,,, i dont care how bad you say your child is, i dont think they would do to you what you have done to them ifeel for them and pray for them   (not you i hope you rot in hell)

Oh, that's funny!  They don't get credits - well...maybe they didn't earn them.  Way behind?  Only if they sat on their asses and didn't do the work.  What parent would admit their child to a behavior change school for academic reasons and nothing else?  Who should be held accountable? In a program for only two short months?  Did you expect your kid to just all of a sudden want to do school work?  They are not babysitters.  If your kid doesn't want to earn their points, they can just sit in class and do nothing, or do you think the staff should stand over them and do the work for them like you do? YOu guys are so blind you can't see the forest for the trees.  This is the funniest site on the web right now!   :rofl:
