"The nut who posted" is NOT stating an "opinion." They are not even just engaging in annoying program flames like the title of "whine whine whine," which generally survivors can recognize as an old fart coming right out of Miller Newton's ass.
Fact and opinion, truth and falsity, is something for the courts to decide, not me, not you, and not Ginger. I happen to agree that these threads are offensive. I happen to agree that they contain statements of fact... but that has not been adjudicated in a court of law, nor has the truth or falsity of the statements. I'm sure some program people find what is said offensive about them. I'm sure they dispute the truth of some of those statements too... If we suddenly started taking sides, we'd have to censor both sides of the discussion. Again, it's not my job, or yours, or Ginger's. It's the court's. This policy also gives Fornits "safe harbor" status under the communications decency act... meaning that since we don't moderate the content (approve or disapprove), we aren't legally liable for the content.
What they are doing in titles on the thread like this one is viciously cruel abuse, and Fornits moderators all participate in that by refusing to take it down. Yes, you do. Grow up.

I hate to break it to you, but in the United States, libel is a civil, not a criminal matter. There is no reason I have to report anything to the authorities. If you wish to do so yourself, go right ahead. Fornits complies with court orders and subpoenas (which is why we recommend those who want true anonymity use a proxy such as tor).

I'm flattered you would compare me to her. She is somebody I look up to, that is true, but I do have my own mind and I do disagree with her on quite a few things. That being said, this is her site and i simply "work here" enforcing her policicies.
