Forge Road to Damascus

Here's something for all AARColytes to ponder.  Like everything about AARC, if it were made up it would be hilarious, but since it's real it is a tragedy.
Imagine this.  It's 1990.  Dr. Dookie and Jim Dinning have seen their projected Kids of the Canadian West refused a license, and cut off from any further government funds.  If we are to believe AARC's own website, Dookie and pals then set out to create a program entirely different from Kids.
The scene: the new "We're Not Kids Anymore" building.  The AARC board has to hire someone to run the new program, which as we said, is going to be nothing like Kids.
Dr. Dookie:"Hey, we need an Executive Director to develop a new treatment program and run it."
Norm Haines:"How about this guy.  He's not a psychologist, nor a social worker.  He's a phys ed teacher who worked at Kids."
Dr. Dookie:"By God, that's just the kind of man we need to create and run a treatment facility with a clinically proven treatment program that's nothing like Kids."
Mr. Haines:"Great work, Dookie.  Let's pray together."
Dr. Dookie:"Fucking A, Bubba!"

"AARC will go on serving youth and families as long as it will be needed, if it keeps open to God for inspiration" Dr. F. Dean Vause Executive Director

MR. NELSON: Mr. Speaker, AADAC has been involved with
