"10/14/2008 12:48:43 a.m. EDTToday, my daughter and I look forward to invitations from other rehabilitation facilities, schools, community coalitions and various other speaking engagements where there are opportunities to help other families who so desperately search for answers and a glimmer of hope that recovery is possible.  An invitation to Pathway from the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) has afforded my daughter the opportunity to represent Pathway and participate in news releases on C-Span about teen marijuana use and it’s links to teen depression.  A panel of internationally renowned addiction specialist such as Dr. Nora Volkow, Director of the National Institute of Drug Abuse,  Dr. Drew Pinsky and John Walters, the US Drug Czar himself,  listened to my daughter tell her story, acknowledged her recovery efforts and the importance of excellent treatment programs on national television."
