how will deleting whospam stop people from posting info hurtful to rendition centers, now?
There is no practical way to blacklist certain individuals or groups of them except to do it in reverse and allow posting only from a whitelist. That would mean that a person would have to be fairly surely identified in order to be allowed to post. That would put an end to a lot of the most vital information that has come only [through] Fornits and had made it the "must read" source for industry information prior to the onslaught of cyberbullying and trolling by Sue Scheff, The Whooter et al.
Some of that info has directly sprung real live individual kids from incarceration, some has helped tha jabberwocks to build cases in the legal arena and journalists to cover stories in the Vth estate.
The only way to effectively delete whospam would be to do what Lon Woodburry has done with Struggling Turkeys in order to prevent the turkeys from seeing shit he doesn't want them seeing. Otherwise, the whospam just mutates into reposting by various means and also the conversation being dominated by bitching and griping and bellyaching over the fact that some shit is being deleted and who's making the decisions and why not delete the anon shit too and so on and so on and so on.
We've been down this road before. I wish people could get it through their heads that I do not posess the power to create a forum that is both open to anonymous communication about important shit AND to selectively screen said communication for shit that we don't like. It's not that I wouldn't if I could, it's that it cannot be done.
Now grow the fuck up and deal with it, please? (that's to those among yenz with whom I've had this conversation about a million times)
