Lucky someone saw this kid lying there!!  The result of the tazing is going to delay the surgery for 2 days and otherwise didn’t add to the boys injuries and from the report it seems it was justified.  If they had tried to cuff him or restrain him it would have been worse.   If that kid had tried to stand up with a broken back like that he might have done permanent damage to himself.

The parents are looking for answers, as any parent would, and after things calm down I am sure the answer will come forward.  It is interesting that the Aunt mentioned that the kid tested negative for drugs (what did they test for?).  Why would she bring it up unless it had been an ongoing issue with this kid.

The bigger issue the parents have to deal with, is why does this kid want to end his life or kill people?

You are a truly disgusting human being.  19 times this kid was tazed.  Justified?  No harm?  What the hell is wrong with you?

I think the reason why the cops tazed him was because he was putting his life, as well as the people driving on that highway, lives in danger. If I was driving, and saw someone dart out into traffic, I would have swerved to avoid hitting them. Which then could injure me, and/or my passengers. I don't think the police would sit there tazing someone for the hell of it when they know they are badly hurt. Unless they are trying to protect that person from further harming themselves, or injuring the public.

As far as the drug comment goes. Who, I think your quick to assume this kid has had ongoing issues with drugs. The first thing people think when something like this happens is, was this individual drinking, or on drugs? Did they take a hit of LSD, and believe they could fly?!! I think with LSD they have to take a hair sample, or take fluid from the spine to detect? So, I am not sure if they did that test? Usually, it's just blood, and urine.

He was lying on the ground.  And they tazed him 19 times.

I get the Idea that he was tazed ,basically, for "non-compliance" from what the police spokesman said, I just wonder how non - compliant you can be with a broken back. Kinda like being charged with disorderly intoxcation for being passed out.
How disorderly can you be while unconcious.

I don’t believe the number of times the boy was tazered has been established.   They came across and angry kid, laying on the ground, who wanted to kill cops.  For all they knew he was drugged out.  They might have been protecting him from getting up and running into traffic (as CCM mentioned).  We should wait for the police report, they were the professionals which were on site and will explain what took place.  The kid obviously had a bias towards police by the statements he was making so we need to take this into consideration when listening to his story, whereas the police are trained to protect the public.

Saying someone was tazed up to 19 times means anywhere from zero to 19.  It doesnt mean 19.

point is .....how combative can a person be with a broken back? Run into traffic? C'mon now there HAD to be a better way of dealing with this.I worked as a paramedic for a decade, and to me it just sounds like somebody got the shit tazed out of them for simply running off at the mouth, kind like when I used to get called for a"fall" down at the county jail......
I have been around this block, and its smellin' fishy ..
