Wow. I am thoroughly horrified, and in shock.
Tip:
This clip is shown in very small viewer, in order to get a better look, follow these steps:
1.Right click the the video when it starts playing.
2.Click on the option "Play in RealPlayer Theater Mode". This will enlarge the video to full screen, and you can get a much better look at it.
My Comments: I am sickened. Did you all notice the nice looking old lady "nurse" who was standing right there when all this went down?
The clip starts off with several large men in sheriffs uniforms presumably surrounding the boy screaming things at him. You can't see the boy really, as he is surrounded completely, and they are right in his face. The old lady is in white with a stethescope around her neck. At 00:11 seconds into the clip, it appears that one guard punches the boy as one grabs him around his neck and slams him to the ground hard.
I am guessing this clip is from the end of the tape??
from Miami Herald article
http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/13890899.htmAs many as nine guards can be seen wrestling Anderson to the ground and restraining him. The boy appeared limp throughout most of the ordeal and never appeared to offer significant resistance. While he lay motionless on the ground, he was struck several times by a guard, either on his arm or the side of his torso.
A woman in a white coat with a stethoscope was present while the guards restrained the boy and at one point used it to check on him. Near the end of the confrontation guards appear to become more concerned and several began running in and out of the scene. A few minutes later, emergency medical personnel arrive and put the boy on a gurney and take him away.
In all, the guards appeared to strike him several times, but it's not clear from the tape how hard the blows were or where they landed. The ordeal lasted about 30 minutes.
At one point, a guard struck him from behind, lifting his feet off the ground. At the beginning, as the guards are pinning him against a pole, they struck him three times with their knees.
This story is all over the press which is good. Google news shows over 500 articles today after the release of the tape. Maybe we will see it discussed on the nightly cable shows as well, as that seems to be where a lot of parents get their infromation.
The tape is not very good quality, but it obviously shows the end of this child's life was horrifying. Those 'sheriff's' are absolutely insane, and that old lady in the white coat is equally disgusting.
