Normal program with a religious bent.  They give far more freedom than Roloff spinoff establishments would allow.

You agree Lorri?

New Creations Schools are focused on young people, to win souls and discipline them in wisdom and knowledge, teaching them in Biblical doctrine, equipping them with the power and the presence of the Holy Spirit, to win the whole world for Christ!

So what does this exactly entail????

I'm sure you'd have to ask them that, but having grown up in the Bible Belt, and with highly religious parents, my educated guess would be that it indicates lots of church services, sermons, Bible studies, Bible classes, and prayer, a few revivals thrown in as well.

New Creations: They are closing
« Reply #5 on: July 24, 2016, 01:35:13 AM »
They are closing down but their reason is a joke. Rumors speak on an active investigation forcing their hand:

Quote from: Press-release from their website
July 20, 2016

Dear Friends,

Proverbs 3:5&6, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths."

As you know, we have worked with "at risk teens" for many years. As our country has evolved with the moral and Christian values declining, we have been in a real battle. The need for people to minister to the children in the dorms has been very difficult, as you know. The children are more challenging than ever before and are very hard to control, let alone speak into their lives with the Word of God.

The last few years have brought us to a dead end as far as trying to find replacements for leadership. In 2014 we had a team of two couples ready to launch out and take the lead for Pastor Tim and Bonnie. One man was struck down with a massive stroke, and in 5 days the other man was struck with a heart attack. One of the wives carried on as the dorm supervisor and the other wife carried on as a teacher. Last year the wife in the dorm was struck with a stroke and unable to return to the ministry.

We are telling you all of this so that you understand the decision we have made as follows:

As of July 30, 2016 we are closing the doors of our boarding school. The staff has been notified of their layoff as of that date.

The reason for the closure of our ministry is we believe the Lord is leading us to retire. We have used our financial reserves and can no longer carry on the ministry financially.

We hope to continue keeping the lights on THE CROSS. We would like to get a response from you if you would like to help us with that piece of property and the maintenance of it.

Once we are able to shut down the school and dorms, we will start the liquidation process. As required by the ministry constitution, the money from the sale of any property that is owned by the nonprofit (NCC), will first be used to pay off the ministry’s debts. All money from the sale of land over and above the needs of the New Creations Ministry will be distributed to other 501c3 organizations. We are going to try to maintain THE CROSS and surrounding buildings. Please pray for us and our advisors with the many decisions we will be making.

If you have any questions regarding this letter, please call or write us.

It is with great sadness that we part from this ministry, but we also look forward to the Lord’s future plan for our lives. We pray God’s richest blessing on our many faithful donors and their families.

Yours with Christ,

Pastor Tim and Bonnie Cummings
