Finding info on Pacific Coast Academy is difficult since it no longer exists, there is now some television program by that name (and that website), not to mention the Dance school and Martial Arts Schools, etc. etc. etc.

Here is a link to a search on the Wayback Machine, which gives links to this website from 1999-the present:
http://web.archive.org/web/*sa_/http:// ... ademy.com/

The years of interest are 2001 and 2002.  There were no pages archived in 2003, then the site was parked for a long while at GoDaddy, and then started up in February of 2005 by the television show.

Yet another strange Polynesian-Utah Mormon thing. Besides this bunch of Samoan Mormons doing their teen behavior modification thing in the south Pacific, there is also the infamous Ah Quin family of Polynesian Mormons who are deeply involved in Liahona Academy and several other Utah programs.

What a strange outcome from past Mormon missionary activity in the Pacific islands -- who would've guessed that someday the descendents of those converted island natives would make their fortunes by abusing and brainwashing American teenagers.

From all research I have found that Joe Ahquin is the owner of that Certified Teen Help bull-oney on the web.
Sorry off track here.
Last research I have found on Cartisano, he sold his Art business, now no further data. Probably has a new alias.

I have tons of info regarding Pacific Coast Academy and the unfamous Steve Cartisano, AKA, Steve Michael's, Scott Richard's.

It wouldn't surprise me if Cartisano was somehow involved with this 'new' program.

Selected pages from Steve Cartisano's now defunct Pacific Coast Academy.  Titles also serve as links to the source page on Wayback.  These pages are from 2001 and 2002 (not all pages are from same website revision, as not all are available).

WHY are mormons so fucking obsessed with brainwashing kids exactly?

I also heard some mormons basically tell their kids at 18 to go on a "missionary" thing or they're out of the family for good.

Fucking cultists.

While we are waiting for the truth, I have used the time to create a page about the program on Fornits Wiki:

http://fornits.com/wiki/index.php/Manuia_Plantation

If you find links about the place, please post them on the discussion page, so they can be a part of the page.

It would also be nice to have the exact address for a sat photo (and for Coral Reef Academy, which seems to operate in the same manner.) If someone is living in Utah, please call and pretent to be a parent (My phone bill would be too high).

Re. Sione Tavake, from the Staff Bio section of Manuia Plantation:
"For the last 13 years as Executive Director of New Leaf Alternative a child placement agency serving the State of Utah."

There is a program that is part of "The Aspen Collection" called New Leaf Academy (2 schools, one in Oregon, and the other in North Carolina, I believe), which does not appear to be related.

Both Manuia Plantation and the now defunct Pacific Coast Academy (Steve Cartisano) emphasize similar "core values," i.e., pulling in immersion in Samoa culture and family values as a means of helping a teen cross the bridge into manhood.  They also share similar website management patterns of having sections perennially "under construction."  It may be too early to tell in Manuia Plantation’s case, as the program is just starting up.  Keep on eye open though... Currently zippo in the photo gallery and video testimony sections.

The 2 new leaf's are not related. new leaf Academy used to be called Green leaf. It was always for young girls and started in oregon not utah

To any Mormons who read or post- is there a big mormon Community in Samoa? It seems to be the first place that ppl like Cartisano go when they are run out of America?
if there is a big mormon community there, is there any way of educating it on what happens in these programs?

Manuia Plantation of Samoa is proud to announce the hiring of Dr. Merav Nagel to serve as Clinical Director and Therapist. Dr. Nagel comes with outstanding credentials and experience to offer to Manuia Plantation's indigenous intervention in Samoa for adolescent males in a village/outback setting.

She expresses her great excitement to make a difference in the lives of the youth of the world and confides "that her partnership with Manuia Plantation of Samoa and its mission to 'Bring Families Closer Together' will be a catalyst for the 'peace process' in the Middle East."

Dr. Nagel has just returned from an around-the-world trip to Mexico City and Israel meeting with colleagues, government leaders and attending educational conferences where she passionately presented academic views of "Samoa Cultural Immersion, Team Building and the Peace Process." Her views were met with great enthusiasm and hope, and has her booked as a presenter for next year's conferences already.

Dr. Merav Nagel has a MA with a 4.0 GPA in Educational Psychology from Haifa University, Ph.D. in Sport Psychology from UNAM and yet another Ph.D. with a 4.0 GPA in Clinical Psychology from Westbrook University. Dr. Merav is fluent in English, Hebrew and Spanish. She served as an Officer and a Captain in the Israeli Defense Force and brings her military and physical fitness to Samoa's outback.

Dr. Nagel worked as a clinical therapist in a variety of settings, including having been involved in educational and clinical workshops for the public worldwide. Nagel is the author of the book 'Perfectionism, Mood States, and Disordered Eating in Female Athletes and Performers' and is presently in the process of publishing the book 'The Secret of Fit Brain.'

Dr. Nagel's vast experience and education offers all students at Manuia Plantation professional and sound guidance to develop therapeutically and educationally.

More again on Merav Nagel... The following (below) from her Zoominfo profile, which contains one entry, namely that of her employment by The National Association for Child Development as their Research Director in 2005.

The references to her work at ISU in the previous post sound legit, albeit a bit strangely focused on stretching the limits of physical endurance and an anti-obesity slant.  The position at Manuia Plantation is a bit wacko, and the one at NACD... well, see this thread for more on NACD:
