Two common occurrences of a single entity that can be split into three immediately came to mind before I was even three sentences in...
* Me, Myself, and I; perhaps more appropriately termed the Id, the Ego, and the Super Ego.
* God: namely the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost (as per a Christian interpretation).I think we are most likely talking about both of these examples; dreams often use symbols for a multitude of uses, even within the same dream...

A door... can symbolize a means of entry, also a barrier, rendering the interior as closed off, not accessible for viewing... Perhaps this being a side door, it is a quick, less than ceremonial entry into the inner workings of the founder's mind.
It has a crumbling veneer, a facade that at one time indicated to the casual observer a polish and ostentation far beyond the actual quality of the wood used to construct its structural bones. With time, this veneer has faded, lifted, bubbled... This you study, noting the decay.
You want to replace the door, restore the old order with a new one befitting this private entry into this office of high distinction. Joe's interest has been piqued, he comes over to look... he picks at the veneer, peels some off, revealing glass underneath... now the door reveals an original inherent transparency? Or an original window of opportunity?
Joe flicks at the glass, pieces fall off. The windows, the transparency are decrepit and broken. The door can not be salvaged and must be removed. You and Joe remove the door.

Sorry, I did not write that. But the analysis does reveal something about you. I am not sure that there is something sexual in it, could be. I think perhaps a desire to submit to Joe as a father figure, demonstrate my ablity , prove my worthiness and gain his approval. Honestly I don't even find his daughters very attractive.
