Scheff writes about teen pregnacy, teen gangs, and teen runaways too.
Surely she's not writting from personal experiences all the time is she?
If so, no wonder that stupid woman is at her her 'wits end' - has she no parenting skills at all?

POSTER: Scheff admitted in the WWASP vs PURE transcripts she has no credentials, no college degree, no work background in any of these fields; so her experience; expertise about teen pregnancy, teen gang, teen runaways  had to come from somewhere.  Does she quote any sources, or give credit to anyone for any facts?  Scheff does claim to be anachers lawsarental expert!

One way to offset that might be if we all joined topix.net and spread the truth like in these posts

Ugh..... I used to believe the world was a fairly just place. Ever since AARC and everything that's followed, I've become progessively more disillusioned. It's just getting worse.

Well really the universe is infinitely just, so long as you can refrain from believing in an all powerful entity willing to annul the laws of the universe in behalf of a single petitioner confessedly unworthy. [Abrose Bierce paraphrased]

People generally are not just, especially when they have a little power. And businesses, governments and all other organizations are just lousey with people. But it'll all work out in the end when this great old planet scrapes us off like a bad case of ringworm and the lizards get their turn to reign supreme once again.

It's just so bloody disappointing. Why do people have to suck so much?

My only viable options at this point seem to be enterring a hermitage or developing a new strain of some nasty virus and carefully deseminating it as quickly and as widespread as possible. I'm thinking 12 monkeys style, but hopefully without leaving any nasty remnants to use their funky time-travel machines and mess up my plans.

Anyone read Oryx and Crake? Seems like the only intelligent humans left believe we desperately need to control ourselves by whatever means necessary.

*** Disclaimer: Satire, mockery, and the uttering of statements such as the above do not indicate anything other than terrible disillusionment, and are no cause for alarm. I do not actually intend on rendering the entire human race dead, sterile or impotent and if I did I wouldn't tell you. Neither do I intend to disappear and leave the world to its own devices, not yet anyway. I'll just take a short break to replenish my reserves with a good herbal tea and maybe some salad, and then I'll be right back to fend off the onslaught of mind killers, free speech smotherers and nasty little buggers that like to prey on small teenagers.

Well, b'lieve it or not I actually do believe in a sort of spiritual or mental power very similar to what the xtians call prayer and others magic or whatever.

Last time I felt acutely as you describe I asked in words for a pack of dogs who would have me. Got it in so many whimsical, meaningful ways it was stunning! And it was healing. Wish the fox of hound city were receptive to all that but he'd just call me crazy if I tried to tell him.

Anyway, don't lose all hope. I ran into his doppleganger yesterday, which I guess is why he's present on my mind again. And I'm reminded that, for all the lousey, no good, self important meanies out there, there are some really good ones too. I try to spend as much time as possible around good people and give them all the care and nurture I can whenever I can.

(hint, hint! A little cross promo, thoughtful comments are sometimes an excellent way to provide such care and nurture in the case of a really wonderful human in the journalism business)
