Some info I have found about Red Rock
« Reply #15 on: July 20, 2007, 04:13:00 AM »
The school seems to be where they claim it is. The buildings on their website is not fake, which is a good thing.

Google maps

Another source from people periodicly leaving their office for a cup of coffee in return for a good report is the School Accreditation office in Utah (How do you get to work there? Easy money for nothing).

List of schools the have visited.

They have a report for Red Rock and it seems that they do seem offer some kind of school there, but as always the visitation report states that we are living in 2007, where students should have benefit of the internet.
Visitation report

Parents are happy - former workers and detainees not. From another forum: Tread.

They do not use a level system, but communication in the start is not existing. From the above tread.

I understand that parents are not allowed to speak with their child for up to 21 days after arrival, is that true? Mine was a "captured" runaway, taken to the facility by a total stranger. I am mortified my child will be subjected to meds again!
.

Like most places there is a myspace group

My conclusion is that it is one of the finer jails, but still - it is a jail.

Some info on Red Rock is in the WWASP vs PURE transcripts.
http://www.isaccorp.org/wwasps/wwaspsvpure.pdf
See Page 187 of the scanned document (page 181 of the pdf).  Eventually, I am going to post my annotated, text-searchable versions here.
A little information on that here:
http://wwf.fornits.com/viewtopic.php?p=224754#224754

Also see page 171 (pdf 165):

When asked if any of her "staff" had visited Red Rock to inspect the place, Sue responds:
Quote
"A. the word "staff" there are -- everyone was a volunteer.  Parents helping parents.  i had a friend that visited that school and met with D. Bernie Farrow and Arlene Farrow.
Q. Now, when we took your deposition, you didn't remember anybody that did that, did you?
A. I don't recall what I said in my deposition, but I have thought about it.  Even one of the parents that reminded me that Gayle did go out there and sit down with Arlene and Dr. Farrow.
Q. Gayle who?
A. Gayle DeGraff.
Q. Well, Gayle DeGraff was the admissions director at Red rock Canyon Schools in St. George at the time, wasn't she?
A. That is correct.
Q. So she is the one that did the research for Cedar Mountain Academy for PURE?
A. She is the one that looked into it for us because she knew -- we had been referring to Red Rock.  And Red Rock and Cedar Mountain are two completely different schools and they were looking for a transitional school for even the kids that were coming out of Red Rock.
Q. You had never been to Red Rock?
A. At that date I had not.  I have been since."

Anybody Know Who Gayle DeGraff/Palmer is?  Ever heard of Michelle Sutton?  That is the girl she was responsible for letting die of dehydration.

Gayle Depalmer is like a bad penny. Turns up every damn place you least expect her. Except in jail, but here is for hoping.

A group of fornits activists could find out Montel is doing a show on this topic, you could disrupt his show with protest it would be good media exposure.
