New Assistant Director of Development & Alumni Relations

8/21/2007

Hyde welcomes newly appointed Assistant Director of Development & Alumni Relations Meg M. McGoldrick, effective August 27, 2007.

Ms. McGoldrick will take on some of the responsibilities previously undertaken by former Executive Director of Alumni Relations Bob Slawson ’73 Bath, who left Hyde at the end of the 2006-07 academic year. She will oversee many aspects of alumni relations, including homecomings, reunions, and off-campus events, as well as assist in fundraising efforts on the Bath campus. She will report to Director of Development & Alumni Relations Sean P. Ireland.

Ms. McGoldrick brings with her varied professional experiences, which include stints in the development office of Boston College and the office of alumni relations at Simmons College. She has also served both her alma maters, Stonehill College and Albany Academy for Girls, as a development volunteer.

A resident of Portland, Ms. McGoldrick is an avid artist working primarily in black and white photography.

Hey y'all,

My wife, Anne, just read that post and she reminded me about creating hostile atmospheres for woman to work in. so my apologies to Ms McGoldrick on that one.
You know when I was at hyde I used to make remarks like that all the time, kinda objectifyin' the woman folk and I guess I would have to fess up that that may be why some of my students turned out like Larry D.  But come now boys you got to admit you loved it when I got Margo to wear that micro mini skirt in A.S.

because of you come on, Ed, you know a LOT of the faculty were like that already to begin with... typical of you, Ed, to think you're the only one influencing anyone at that place.

Many of my student worshipped me.  I did git my BA from Harvard.  That is quite a job for a Texas shit Kicker.  Many of them were quite impressed and they lovvvvved my voice.

Did Bob Slawson move on to greener pastures?  Or further up the proverbial hill?

I wonder how long Ms. McGoldrick will last.  She looks like a complete innocent to the soul-sucking methods that are inherent to Hyde.  Perhaps, walled off in her office, she will be relatively impervious to the cacophony of the not always silent distress outside of her window.

Take good care, Ms. McGoldrick, to heed your innermost counsel.
