Why does Izzy refer to PURE?
« on: June 11, 2007, 12:43:33 AM »
Why?

She seems to only refer to PURE.
She goes to great lengths to defend PURE and associated schools.
She and pure refer to each-other incessantly.
She claims to have no financial motivation, but what is her motivation then? Friendship?
Something stinks very very badly.

Please put speculation and supporting evidence here:

Why does Izzy refer to PURE?

SPECULATION:
Izzy says that she is not paid for the referrals she makes to Sue Scheff/Pure---and it is a fact that Isabelle Zehnder does refer to Scheff/Pure.

So: If Sue Scheff is getting referrals from Isabelle Zehnder, and is not paying her any fees---what an outstanding financial arrangement for Sue Scheff /PURE.  It appears that Scheff gets to keep all the money for herself.
It would appear that Isabelle Zehnder spends her own time; her own resources on CAICA to generate calls.  Then when it is determined that a child needs to go to a program---Isabelle refers them to PURE.

Speculation:
Isabelle Zehnder wants to maintain her status as an "ADVOCATE" and as long as she can declare that she IS NOT PAID for referring children to PURE; then perhaps she might feel that she has no responsibility for having these children placed in UNREGULATED, possibly abusive programs.
BUT:  Isabelle Zehnder does make it clear that she hopes/plans to gain financially through her "coaching" company Positive Family Solutions.

Straight from the Horse's mouth:

Often they find Sue and Isabelle asking for advice as to where to send their child. If these parents are turned away the likelihood of their child being placed into a potentially abusive environment is high.

Quid pro quo (Latin for "something for something" [1]) indicates a more-or-less equal exchange or substitution of goods or services.

*It is my assumption that they have a "business arrangement".  If she does not accept monies for her referrals, she probably excepts other items or services in return.  It could be things such as SS pays for certain services for "their team" (*computers, phone, legal fees)

*&/or SS refering parents to Isabelle for coaching before &/or after the enter a program.  If Sue refers her services each time a parent calls.. they are "offering" one more service to the family--- that generates an abundance of leads for IZ.  The intention may be that Isabelle "coaches" the family while the child is away to prepare them for the homecoming.  This could be true in reverse if a parent calls wanting help finding a program for their child .. she refers them to Sue (obviously).

*The team could be more intimate than we suspect. They could be in a relationship and possibly money is not an issue.

The mutual adoration society (aka Sue Scheff and Izzy Zehnder) appear to have several personality traits in common.  In order to understand their relationship, one would need to examine their personalities more intently.

Any shrinks in the house?

Not a shrink, but  articles relating to Borderling Personality and Narcissism have been posted when discussing Mrs. Zehnder and Ms. Scheff; but certainly coundn't venture a guess if either of these woman suffer from either of these disorders, or not.
