We have profiled the below survivors in survivor park in second life and we KNOW there is not room to include everyone but we do know there are ALOT more out there fighting this fight that should be profiled and we don't know them all so please send us an email of a survivor that you think we should include.
The goal, is simply to faces to the tragedy.

Any survivor is welcome to send us a picture that will be put on the wall of the building so they can see who this happened to.
So if your a survivor of Morgan Yacht, VA, Atlanta, ST. Pete or any other Straight building send us a pic with a short note of name of program and length of time in. If you would like to add one or two of the major damages done to you that are permenant list that as well.
Many thanks for  helping us.

Survivors Profiled In Second Life We need your suggestions

My suggestion?  My suggestion (and this is my own suggestion, that you asked for) is that frankly you find something better to do with your free time.  Try smoking TBPITW or something.  STRAIGHT was bad enough the first time around, I have no desire to visit a virtual recreation of the worst years of my life.  I don't think one can find a SL virtual Auschwitz.  My thought is that holocaust survivors really have no desire to go back and take a gander at the oven or the showers "just one more time."  Of course many of us are curious about such a thing and many have visited.  Thanks for your step by step instructions and for wanting to get this just right for everyone.  For me it's just wrong.

The creation of such a virtual world, in an ideal world, I would think would be more full of indulgences that may not be feasable for all of us in real life.  I would much rather visit a Swedish whorehouse, an Irish Pub, or maybe an Amsterdam coffee shop virtually than go back to STRAIGHT.    What does one have to gain by joining, loading shit on your PC, frustrating yourself batty trying to figure it all out, finally finding yourself in a CG building and for what?  A new car?  A cruise?  Resolution?  Peace?  Happiness?  Vengeance?

In my own second life there shouldn't be representations of false imprisonment, child abuse, nor torture.  No matter what the context nor representation may be.

You've got to be fucking kidding if you really think I am going to send in a pic for you to add to the wall.  Shit, why don't I just go enroll myself in one of the existing SynOps if I miss the program so much that I would want to virtually go back?

Now, back to my TBPITW...

We appreciate your opinion , although we did state that this is not for all, as it can be disturbing for some survivors.
However, we also believe that the more educated the public the better.
Yes, its disturbing to some survivors, quite frankly it was an immensly difficult (emotionally) project for us all to do. It was painful to remember, it was painful to go through the day to day life in Straight. However, if it makes one mom think twice about putting their child in treatment, if it helps one survivor talk to someone in real time when they are having a rough time, if it helps one person learn the truth about Mel Sembler and Bush. If one congressman sees it, etc etc,
Than we will consider our "waisted free time" worth every minute.
Perhaps though we could do better by reiterating here.
THIS IS NOT FOR EVERY SURVIVOR. THIS CAN BE DISTURBING.
Just like visiting thestriaghts.com and seeing a movie trailor or being on fornits and having a memory jolted.
If you are able to help us spread the word in this venue we welcome you. If you are unable to that is understandable as well.
