One of the best things about being kept away from boys is that any man, no matter how old, what he has to do with the program, whether he is your houseparent, or your shrink, maybe even perhaps an owner, can get lucky lol???? They get their pick of all of us young girls. We almost welcome it. We get taken advantage of in a way?!! But, who cares right?

Kids in this situation do get taken advantage of by sick adults. You may not be aware CCM that some kids who are victims of incest find it confusing because they did not find the experience physically unpleasant this doesnt make it ok.

"Houseparent" doesn't usually refer to your actual parents - just whatever program parent gets to take you home for the night. Also known as "foster parents", "host home parents", etc.

I guess that poses a more interesting question... Is a sexual interaction with a program parent on the same level as incest? You have the same power dynamic as with an abusive parent, so in many ways it is the same. Hmm, something to think about.

....to this day can't even walk up to a girl a talk to her because of the imprint Excel has left on me. I feel like I'm doing something terribly wrong. To be fair I am a much better person with what most who know me would say a very kind and generous character, but I am unable to deal with everyday social interactions with females like a normal person. I used to be quite the casanova, but now I haven't even had a girlfriend in the almost year I've been back from Excel. I was there for almost 3 years. The funny thing is, and I don't want to sound arrogant, many people have told me that I'm a very attractive man. I can't even explain the feelings of shame and guilt i feel when look at a woman.

Long story short i was in conroe, texas for 4 and a half years. Sure I graduated but was it really necessary? By the time i left i felt like a Vietnam Veteran, coming back from war. I had no social skills outside of Excel nor did I feel safe or confident in any situation besides that of being enclosed within Excel walls.

Hey, it worked for Warren Jeffs.

Isolation also makes it easier to confuse the girls into thinking they "asked for it" or that it really was somehow consensual. They don't have any active crushes on boys their own age, boys who are actually present day in and day out, to compare their reactions against.

Not to mention the notorious "transference" effect where patients become infatuated with their doctor or therapist.
