Website... (see the sig)  Lots of research on CEDU, Synanon, Lifespring....  California law, the food pyramid...  condensed
Interviewing Program survivors posted a 10 page im interview on fornits...
Gathered another survivor story, put it on the website...   Interviewed dad....

misc crap
convinced 3 parents not to send kids to programs...  (1 is public)
got thrown off St for no reason (well maybe the above had something to do with it)

current shit on agenda
School... 6 courses.
Trying to get other survivors to talk... it's like pulling teeth...  most just want to move on... don't want to think about the past.  some have blocked a lot of it out...
a project i can't talk about...  but will become public at some point..
thinking of ideas for an animation about program...

They are pretty white trash type cops in Redlands. Got popped by a couple a few years back, kinda a shitty area, head west youngins. Lots of interesting shit going on at the beaches.

Has potential. The issue is reference footage. I'd need to find some fast, because this would be my chosen project for my editing class. (Since I don't have time to do a separate piece in addition to my editing class project.) Any suggestions on resources for this? Since I'm Mr. Dial up, I don't torrent. Stills is acceptable, too, but there is also the copyright issue for any footage. Not saying I won't do it, I'm just thinking out loud here regarding logistics.

Testimony is also good, but don't know anyone in the area I can contact.

So, as of now, reference, priority one.

I am in law school to become a lawyer so I can spend my time suing programs for the hell of it. I am also in martial arts classes so if I come across a programmie in real life I will be prepare. Besides that, I have been instrumental in an investigation that netted a dozen arrests, two different programs shut down and twelve kittens being saved. They called me a hero, but I just think I am a regular country girl. Give me some white bread and bologna and I'm happy, I tell ya what.

I was sittin' at home sippin' on my comfort when a man named John Walsh starting speaking to me as if a voice from heaven above. I called him and told him about some child abuse going on I knew about at a program and then the FDOCP (Federal Dept of Children Protection) swept in with their helicopters and guns and freed the children from their unnecessary and unlawful bondage. They arrested all the staff, and found out the director was abusing kittens in his office. The kittens were also freed, and have been adopted to a loving home. Thank God for John Walsh and the FDOCP. That man really cares about kids.

Footage of Randall Hinton and Stalin standing side by side. You up to that level of digital manipulation?

Also stills showing Aushwitz and Tranquility bay. Do a memorial spoof showing Hitler saluting Ken Kay and crowd for their ongoing work to purify the Aryan race or something of that sort.


That is kind of insulting to Stalin and Hitler.

TSW, what do you think would happen if a group of program survivors just walked onto a program grounds and sat down and did a sit in protest. What do you think would happen? Theyd call the cops, would that get the press out there. Is this a totally stupid direction, or how do you think the staff would have reacted to that kind of protest. It would be great to videotape something like that and put it on google video. Probably get a trespassing charge or something at least and maybe roughted up by the friendly piggies...  :-?

Major, serious props go to the people who get these places shut down before they open and the local communities inoculated against having another one opened.

You know what, folks? Pretend this is a game. Pretend getting kids out is 1 point, shutting a whole place down is 100 points plus one point per kid, and preventing a place from ever opening is a whopping 10 points per bed. It's a bit too ham-handed TSW. I was thinking more along the lines of methods of and conditions under incarceration. Stress-poses, malnutrition, indoctrination. The similarities between the two. However, resources for reference footage for both of those will be hard. And concentration camp stuff is just out. Whether it's accurate or not, people will dismiss it outright the minute they see it.


Yeah, what that other guy said, too cliche.

I'm wondering if the comparison aspect is really necessary. Show what goes on, and people will draw their own comparisons.

Still, the issue is reference footage.
