just a matter of time before the TBS?s spread more throughout the world.  There is ... no money

Anyone else seeing a problem here?

And you do know what happened when WWASPS tried to open up in the Czech Republic, don't you?

Well, I am not a supporter of WWASP, but what happened?

I am surprised they even tried to open one in the first place.  I wouldnt think there would be a market for it.  What was it raided for?

Yes, the parent flips the bill, I agree.

If you have your kids best intention at heart, don't assume every other parent out there does. I know a lot of people here believe all program parents are acting of fear/ignorance, but I disagree and would say a larger portion than people would like to acknowledge in fact do it as punishment. I contend many parents would in fact use programs like wwasps even if they read through all the experiences here and elsewhere. It happens all the time. Apologists might call it denial, but I just don't buy it in all cases.

You guys are totally missing the depths of TheWho's ignorance.

He probably still doesn't realize that he quoted a link. He really thought that WWASPS would open a facility for the local parents to ship their kids to- and not quite realizing that not only would the locals not do it, they wouldn't even allow a facility for it to happen to American kids in.

On the other hand, on the rare occasions that rich foreigners want to have their children abused, they can try to send them to America.

http://www.teenliberty.org/guardian.htm

It was closed in 1998 and stopped WWASP expansion into Europe because the boss of WWASP called the authorities communists, which angered a government struggling to get over 40 years of occupation.

As stated before, child abuse of such a kind is now only possible in the states, Jamaica and perhaps Mexico once again.

I have investigated Costa Rica "Pillar of hope" and it have turned out to be a transition camp for former detainee, which are unable to live a normal life due to long-term confinement. (They even are allowed to talk with the opposite sex.) See: http://www.pillarsofhope.com

What horrible kind of family will two brainwashed people get, if they actucally will be able to bond with each other and end up in a marriage?

More fact can be found on wikipedia, when we are finished studying some papers, an anonymous source had sent a friend of mine. The article will not be written by me, but another unnamed Dane.

Don't forget the middle east they have their own fucked up twisted take on programs, jihadism. Take Iran for example during the Iraq-Iran war when they couldn't afford guns and bullets, so instead they imported tens of thousands of plastic keys made in Taiwan to put on the necks of the young kids who would dogpile into artillery positions on the Iraqi lines - their key to heaven. Or how about those kids in the west bank who bust out a sermon with murderous passion, that program will give your kid paradise and it's free! Look at those proud parents.

Idiots the world over.

I have to admit, that I laughed when an Iranian colleague told me about the plastic keys.

It was so horrible.

BTW. Our government are working on laws forbidding danish children to leave Denmark for schooling outside Denmark, if the school is not approved by our authorities.

The reason for such a law is that some parents in Denmark does like our very liberal way of life and they have sent their children to the far east for "re-education". They come back ready to strap a bomb on their back, so of course we are going to try to stop it.

Beside the bomb thing, the kind of "re-education" they offer in the far east on a Koran school sounds very familiar to the conditions in a wwasp program.

Thanks Covergaard, I was just over in Eastern Europe and based on what I learned about the culture I was suprised WWASPS would even think about putting ina facility (for US or local kids).  Just purely from a financial standpoint it is risky at best and the local authorities would never want to risk the potential exposure.... crazy.

Welcome to the Camp,
I guess you all know why we're here.
My name is Tommy
and I became aware this year

If you want to follow me,
you've got to play pinball.
And put in your earplugs
put on your eyeshades
you know where to put the cork

Hey you getting drunk, so sorry!
I've got you sussed.
Hey you smoking Mother Nature!
This is a bust!
Hey hung up old Mr. Normal,
Don't try to gain my trust!
'Cause you ain't gonna follow me any of those ways
Although you think you must

We're not gonna take it
Never did and never will
We're not gonna take it
Gonna break it, gonna shake it,
let's forget it better still

Now you can't hear me,
your ears are truly sealed.
You can't speak either,
your mouth is filled.
You can't see nothing,
and pinball completes the scene.
Here comes Uncle Ernie to guide you to
Your very own machine.

We're not gonna take it
Never did and never will
Don't want no religion
And as far as we can tell
We ain't gonna take you
Never did and never will
We're not gonna take you
We forsake you
Gonna rape you
Let's forget you better still.

What are you on about?

I don't hate teenagers, I think they're victims of society! No-one gives a crap about them

Oh i didn't suggest you hate teenagers, more that your suggestion that British teenagers are unruly and that they have excessive rights was potentially wrong. If there is a British charter of rights for kids i see this as a good thing. Perhaps someone should force the parents of the English kids on Brat camp to read it!
A lot of countries have charters of rights for kids and it does not stop parents from being able to do their job or discipline their kids. Some even encourage some level of autoritarian parenting. But this does not extend to violence or deprivation of normal liberty.

I also agree with those who can see that social workers everywhere have a difficult job. On one hand they are not supposed to step on parent liberties, On the other they are supposed to remove kids from potential danger. If they wrongly take a kid from a potentially abusive home they are middle class judgemental wankers with no idea, if they err on the side of caution and turn out to be wrong their head is on the chopping block. Unlike many other university educated professionals they earn a really modest salary and often have to do their job for either benevolent or religious organisations running on the smell of an oily rag, or govt which expects them to be all things to all people. no wonder it is easier to just get an MBA and work in the money markets!
