Lance was my counselor while I was at HLA for a while.  He has a very pompous attitude and often responds to criticism from students by trying to make them feel stupid for even voicing the complaint in the first place.  At least twice a week, our therapy sessions became (within the first five minutes) sessions of voicing complaints about unfair treatment from the school.  Often, I was the person who was the most vocal about things that I disagreed with, and I was sent to Ridge Creek because I was "not progressing therapeutically".  Lance told me that I was holding the group back because, after I had been complaining about the policies and poor treatment for a while, the group was beginning to take my side completely.  Before I started my campaign to get other kids to wake up and see how ridiculous the school is, they had been convinced (by Lance) that the school was helping them tremendously.  Anyway, I can't possibly express my disdain for Lance and his apparently uncontrollable need to manipulate troubled kids in a Fornits post.  However, I do need to close this post with a little bit of gloating.  Lance, if you are reading this, you were wrong.  You told me the day before I left that I was still the "old Ed" and that I had not changed and that I would fail outside of HLA.  Well guess what?  I am at a respected prep school as a senior, making a 3.7 GPA and staying off drugs and out of trouble, no thanks to you.  Maybe you should reconsider your pathetic and corrupt career.

So where is the man of the hour?

Come on buddy.....come on out. Be a man about it answer the charges made. Are they true? Or are you just to pompus to answer them? Maybe we're hurting his feelings....maybe he truly cares about these kids and while he's not perfect he does try and help them. Maybe if we stopped being so angry we would see that they really did care and they really did help us. Or maybe they are all nothing more than a bunch of sadistic child abusers. On the off chance that we have hurt his feelings I'm sure ol Chuckie will rub his back and shoulders and whisper into his ear something about blessed are those who are persecuted.

In the mean time step up to the plate. Be a man and justify your hack brand of therapy. How has any of what youve done on here been helpful?

This is the same exact thing he did to my son! He treated parents the same way - always tried to make us feel stupid for asking questions and talked down to us. Nice to see people speaking out.

Its obvious you needed that type of therapy. You're obviously trying to manipulate the situation and without those fallouts you'd be dead or in jail. Just in case you do die, have your parents set up a life insurance policy with hla as the sole beneficiary. We do this so that others might benefit from the same level of therapy that you recieved. I know you'll agree and if you dont then we'll gladly send you to RC for a year.

Do you get a nice fat "bone-us" if I do?

i'd send this link to the lawyers.  it clearly states that HLA
provides excellence in "therapy."  they have been telling regulatory bodies that they provide "no therapy" and that HLA is "academics only."  just another fraud.  just another lie.

Dunno if you are gonna read this, but congrats on doing so well and stuff like that. Because of all of the HLA pplz scouting this website I can't post who I am, even though you know me, but I hope everything is going well for you and your family. Once thing I never caught at HLA, were you planning on going into a music major? Cause you are damn good at playing the mandolin and it would be a shame for all of that to go to waste.

I was referring to the post above whose poster said the link should be sent to "the lawyers".  If there are lawyers out there working on cases against HLA and if HLA has said  (especially under oath) they don't do therapy but it states in their advertising (and begging for donations, including life insurance),  that they do therapy then that should be forwarded on.  I just don't who it should be forwarded on to.
