VIRUS - "Network Security Update"

this email I just got back from the layman's computer guru, Dan Gookin:

[85 Day Jerk]

When I turned on my PC last Sunday night, I got a prompt about the clock being set ahead an hour for daylight savings time.  I thought nothing of it and later went around and set all my clocks ahead one hour before I went to bed.
   The next day I had a meeting with a legal advisor at a neighborhood diner and wound up going there an hour early.  I mentioned to the waitress that they had forgotten to set the clock by the register to daylight savings time and she looked at me like I was crazy.
    Later when I went to reset my computer clock to the right time, I found that I was on Grenwich Mean Time and not Eastern Standard Time.  The question is this, did I do something to make this happen, or could a hacker have done this as an April Fools prank? (I was fooled by it)
