Don't you guys even question people that always come up with comments such as "why bother" or "just ignore this shit"?
When someone has the balls to write something as depreciative toward another human being, degrading not just a woman, but also an ethnic background that has been historically oppressed, I bother. And everyone should bother.
I do not take Fallon's words as dramatic, but the exact opposite, she could not have been more precise on her response... "Telling people how it is", just like the Fallon I met back in 1997. Unless, of course, you define drama as being humane, then it's a conceptual matter. In this case, a dictionary would help.
I feel contemplated by Fallon?s words and it is not my intention to open a debate on racism and gender ? I get the feeling it might be counter-productive ? but I feel the need to reiterate that racism is disseminated though apparently silly harmless comments or jokes. It needs to be taken seriously, regardless on if the author is a 3 year old. And quite frankly, different from Fallon, I do not wish this person ?the best in life?. Let us just leave it at that.
