Have been checking this site pretty regularly again and just wondering how everyone is. My feelings on Kids are similar to PB's. I definitly think the world would be a better place without places like Kids but I did walk away form there with many things. Friends, that I have a bond with that can never be broken. I may lose touch with some, but when reunited it is like we were never apart. We know each other like no one else can ever know someone. I also walked away form Kids with hope that there was another way. No matter how screwed up I got after Kids I always knew there was a better way out there if I would give it a chance. I have since given it a chance and have been sober for 8+ years. I am a single father of 2 wonderful boys ages 8 and 9. I work for the Navy as a computer programmer and own a cool pad in San Diego. So things have changed dramatically for me. I could write a book on where I have been and how I got to be the person I am today. I am truly grateful that my parents loved me enough to put me in a shit hole out of complete desperation for my well being. My mother and brother both live in SD as well.
