RED RIBBON ROAD TO RECOVERY RUN: Inaugural 5K run, 1-mile fun walk benefit Operation PAR. Run 8 a.m., fun walk 9 a.m. Vinoy Park, Fifth Avenue NE and Bayshore Drive, St. Petersburg. Entry fee for run, $15 through Oct. 15; $20 thereafter. Entry fee for fun walk, $12 minimum secured through pledges/donations. Family entry fee, $25 minimum secured through pledges/donations. Participants receive T-shirts, prizes. Post-competition events include entertainment, drug alternatives. 545-7564.

If you donate $5,000 or more, you get to roll around in pig shit with Betty Sembler, who will be completely naked for the event.

if someone pays my ticket, i will run the 5k wearing a t-shirt that says something like whatever people suggest it say. i will be happy to collect pledges and donations for ISAC. i will run to represent my people, but only if it is going to get press and crowd attention. if it's a shitty little run around a park, forget it. but if you people want to start putting your money where you mouth is, salivating for a show, pay up.
