i don't think cascade people were grifters but then again i was only there a few years. As far as Scientology goes , Cascade liked to think that helped everyone and would try to keep students in the dark about any abuse . The odd thing was that we were told that if any student mentioned abuse to his/her parents we should tell the parents that the abuse happened at another facility as in a previous school . Many students were so obsessed with believing in what cascade wanted them to think that they were dismissive of those who realized that the place damaged the majority . Those who think that the place helped them have a complex that if others do not think the same way there is something wrong with them . Kind of like a religious cult that forces their beliefs on everyone .
