I'm not 100% sure, but isn't Freedom Fellowship that Baptist compound where a kid was forced to dig out a sewage pit with open wounds till he dropped from exhaustion?

He, who has nothing, and who himself belongs to another, must be defended by him, whose property he is, and needs no arms. But he, who thinks he is his own master, and has what he can call his own, ought to have arms to defend himself, and what he possesses; else he lives precariously, and at discretion.

--James Burgh 1774

I dont know about F.F., but I can say that when religious people and rehab people become one, I get nervous.
My point, what I think we MUST do is enforce LICENSING AND INSPECTING any faith based place.  Some of them ARE VERY GOOD..but when they are bad, they are the worst.
Straight couldn't keep a DR, Registered Nurse, or psychologist (Phd with state license please, not just the degree)on the grounds as it would have triggered MANDATORY REPORTING by professionals laws.
We must have onsite licensed staff.
Every center is inspected ROYALLY, unannounced, and in random pattern.
If not, I fear the next Doctor Good Father Cassius Virgil Miller Newton shall be funded by and abusing for the government.

I believe that private therapy can be great.
Look at Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches.
Metropolitan Ministries and some of the black churches in downtown Tampa have great rehabs.
But there are no Doctor Father Virgil Miller Newtons in these programs.
People, please do not ignore what our politicians are up to these days.
Faith based is coming.  Lets GET OUR EXPERIENCEs CONSIDERED by the people who represent us in Tallahassee or Washington.  They are the ones who push or pull plans in our ingeneous system.
The system COUNTS on , and moves position for, WHATEVER force is heard loudest.
Proper PR is essential.  Cordiality a must.
Senators listen.  Most people never expend the effort to even write one letter.
I know the churches are getting their voices heard....
ARE WE GOING TO??
