Who is claiming that they should? If a parent is incapable of making wise choices in regards to their child it becomes contigent upon society to step and take those choices and the child away. The welfare and whats best for the child should always come first, until the child is capable of taking care of himself.

As to the previous poster, no one is claiming that the child isnt respondsible for any of his own actions. but clearly sending him off to be abused isnt the answer. Which is all these places do.

Oh mi god, you are so lucky you post on this site. You are insane/an industry troll, and if you posted on my site you'd be kicked off, your ip published, and you’d be sued if you continued to post on my site after I told you leave. You're so sick...You are a murderer, a torturer... the saving grace is that you are clearly so monstrous that you inadvertently do more good than evil, simply by being your monstrous self, thereby revealing the teen torture industry for what it is.

But helping the industry or harming, his presence is disturbing.

Also, let's not call them children; prisoners of the irresponsible parent industry are young adults usually of at least 12.

They are not of tender years, or infants oblivious to their surroundings and therefore, not conscious of being abducted and imprisoned.

Very open minded of you, SDA!!  It is apparent you will be very successful.  You should consider a screening process or filtering of all posters to ensure that everyone thinks alike and have the same opinions.  When people like you create web sites it does remind me of how fortunate it is for everyone that fornits exists.   I wouldn’t consider joining a web site which restricts its members or any club which restricts membership.  People like you should never be put into a position to make decisions for others, you are the primary danger to yourself and those who trust you, which you will soon find out.
You should scurry back now I am sure the traffic on your site must be overwhelming by now.

I don't think anyone here (any sane person) would advocate zero boundaries while raising a child.  Respecting that they are a human being, independent of us and that they have thoughts, goals and dreams and aspirations that may be contrary to what we would like for them.  Most of the more adamant pro-program parents, in my experience (which includes a decade of continuous direct exposure to a program and two decades of indirect experience and research) are the upper middle class stereotypes that need their kids to succeed at a certain type of school and become a certain type of person in order to be considered a success.  I'm sure that's true to them, in their narrow view of life and what it has to offer.  I deal with them all the time, both professionally and privately and it's very sad how the see the world and their own children.  But what's worse is what they saddle their kids with, sometimes for a lifetime.

Now that's just ridiculous.  The only way to fight this is with the truth.  From both sides.  Free speech is a bitch sometimes, but it works.

What person could see him/her, supposedly a middle aged parent, act like that, and value any "testimony" it provides? Or find him/her, especailly since it posts here from morning untill night, anything but a warning against the madness of the cults he/she represents?
