I found a comment I made TO Isabelle in an email on CAICA'S CORNER.  I made this comment TO Isabelle........in the early stage of our brief (1 month) relationship.  We have since gone our seperate ways with the understanding (I thought) that our purpose and goals are not in line with one another.  

I don't think a person should just post what others say in PRIVATE emails, without their permission.

I think I just broke one of my own standards of practice.  I shouldn't have spoken out about how I feel on an open forum this way.  When I read the thread here, I took a look on CAICA'S CORNER.  I felt somewhat violated.  Sorry to take up time and space for something that should have stayed a personal matter.

I did email Isabelle.

I believe ALL abusive programs need to be on a public Watch List.  The public, and especially desperate parents, deserve FULL DISCLOSURE.
I believe ALL Referral Agencies that are known to refer children to a program resulting in either the abuse, or death of the child, deserve to be exposed also.
I learned that Isabelle and I difer on these two issues.

I agree with you, and haven't seen a site yet that does both- identify abusive programs and referral agents. Some don't even list the deaths. And then there are the many unreported injuries, rapes, assaults, cases of medical neglect resulting in amputation and other problems, etc. that we'll never have firm data on until they are required to report them.

I wish all the advocates could come together on a few common issues. If the legislation being proposed doesn't require programs to register and report deaths, injuries, assaults, etc. it will be pointless. All of our voices are needed if that is ever to be accomplished.

I think everyone (excepting the programs, in most cases)supports the attempt to get legislation with some teeth passed. There may be some doubt as to its effectiveness from some quarters; but for the most part, even the warring tribes agree on this one point.

Cathy, you shouldn't feel bad about expressing a grievance on a forum such as Fornits. Thats largely what its for. Izzy can respond if she wants to. BTW, If you felt used, you are hardly the first.

I too agree with you.

Legislation does need to include the reporting of, accidents, injuries, molestation, rape and murder.  The next step is enforcing the law once it is in place.  This is no short term process.  I am still in shock that a law was not already in place that should have said, "what happened to your daughter Mrs. Sutton, was against the law."  Instead it was, "you picked the program."

I don't like being mean to people like Isabelle.  I just don't have much patience anymore for fence sitters when it comes to children suffering in these programs.  It's been sixteen years.  Little has changed.  I'm still here at my computer repeating myself.

We do all need to stick together on this.  No favorites in the fight for what is right.  

I asked CAICA to stand up and be measured by including Whitmore Academy to their Watch List.
This should also include the Referral Service that referred the program.  I don't feel this is too much of a "true" Child Advocate.  They are the voices of the parents of a child who suffered abuse, and or died in the hands of so-called experts.

Dear Anonymous post,

When Isabelle first called me, she asked if I would like my daughter Michelle to be included in a report she was working on.  I have helped others in the past with reports.  Never have I experienced anything like this.  I began receiving calls three and four times a day.  What started out as helping someone with a report, became a daily counseling session.  Isabelle began crying on my shoulder about what was being said on Fornits.  I was drawn into the middle of what was her personal business.  I have been out of the loop for sometime.  I didn't know what was going on.

I make it a point not to say anything I can't repeat to someone's face.  I think SOME of what happens on open forums such as this one is evil.  I don't care for the language that is sometimes spoken on this site.  But, with that being said, I won't USE this site, or any other, to promote MYSELF, or my WEBSITE, like some people do.

Please help me understand what Isabelle was doing to HELP me?  I thought she asked me help to her with a report she was working on.  I don't even know if there really is such a report.  

As I said in my last email to Isabelle...."I am going back to the day before I received your call."  This has been a nightmare.  I found myself back in the year 1990.  I was duped!!    

Isabelle can have ALL the credit for bringing me back to life.  I will take ALL the credit for figuring out that I was being used and walking away.
