Tell Me Some Good News.........
« on: May 18, 2006, 10:39:00 AM »
"I just" wanted to start a thread where people can post about cool stuff that's going on in their lives, you know, kinda to illustrate that we're not all DEADINSANEINJAIL or whatever.

Whether you just bought a new car or house, scored a big bag of pills, watched your kid graduate high school, watched Miller Newton get hit by a truck, won the lottery, saw a funny comedian, got a new job, read a good book, or whatever, post it here and let us know about it.  Too often we all get caught up in the really shitty aspects of our lives, which is understandable to some degree, and I think that it'd be kinda cool to hear about some of the cool things that have recently happened to you.   Anonymous posting encouraged.

I'll start.......

"I just" smoked a fat bowl of TBPITW.......

OK, couldn't resist that one, but I am headed to the beach with a couple of friends, it should be a pretty fun road trip........

Im almost finished with my advanced massage courses and instructor training.

I am moving at the end of the year to Austin.

My son just got bumped up to "big boy class".

I just ate way too much red curry from the Thai place at lunch.

This isnt a positive rap, but its not a far cry from an "inspiration" list.  Thats the only thing I ever remember enjoying about the program, writing a list of everything I was going to do when I got out.

Youre right RTP, this could be good.

I 'tele-worked' today with my cell phone and spent the entire afternoon outside with my 2 y.o. son playing with bugs.

It's really the insect's planet.  Whoa, insects are crayyy-Zee,...Good thing they don't get much bigger than they do, although I have heard that there are Tarantulas in central America that will kill an' eat a chicken.  Ants are wild, so are termites.  The termite workers never-ever sleep and the Queen of the colony has a 50 year lifespan. Pretty intense.

If you would have justice in this world, then begin to see that a human being is not a means to some end.  People are not commodities.  When human beings are just to one another government becomes obsolete and real freedom is born; SPIRITUAL ANARCHY.

Do insects even sleep ??  If they had to sleep every so often I think that would be good news.  That way when they do take over the world and eat ever'body 'cept a few scattered pockets of desperate humanity who manage to survive out in the wastelands or maybe at sea, it will take them longer and us humans will have a chance to figure something out maybe...  Did you ever see that movie with the giant tarantula that eats ever'body ??  That's pretty scary.  There's also a movie about giant rabbits called "Night of the Lupus",  freaky man...

Do insects sleep ??  That would be good news huh ??

I just watched my youngest graduate high school.   I bought a boat big enough to take my whole family on vacation.  Coming up on my 15th wedding anniversary.

Thanks for posting, Carmel.  I enjoyed a little Thai food for lunch yesterday, too, but I held back on the curry......

I had dinner and microbrews with friends the night before.

I confronted Miller and Ruth Ann Newton, then partied with some other survivors.

I got to spend some time with a good friend that I rarely get to see and got to hear about a lot of cool stuff that's going on with them.

I don't remember the term "inspiration list", but I do remember being taken out of group with all the other misbehavers one week, and we spent most of the time memorizing phone #s to call to try to get each other out, and talking about what we were gonna do when we got out.

I mainly wanted to hear about cool things going on in people's lives, both to maybe help inspire those of us who may be going through a rough time, and to say "Fuck you" to those who would have us believe that we are doomed to "jails, institutions, and death", etc.  Contrary to popular belief, you do not have to be miserable, paranoid,   hurting, or unhappy.   Enjoying life is the best revenge against those that would tell us we needed Straight's bullshit interference to save us from ourselves.  That and confronting Miller Newton during a service at his "church" (sorry, couldn't resist gloating....).
