Just finished reading "Help At Any Cost"

Worth the money.  Author tries hard to stay objective, but can't.  Ray Bradbury:  Thanks and Good Luck.  Great part about Miller Newton trial.  I learned a lot about what was going on around me that I never knew.

I had no idea how the whole thing just morphs into new names and sometimes continues in the same buildings!  Fairly instuctive views on how the influence process works, and how the rules had dual purposes.  From the Stockholm syndrome to Abu Graib, I understood.  Really scary stuff about offshore programs that "cure" anything.  Documentation, footnotes, bibliography etc. blew my mind.

Hard to sleep last night.  I was full of dreams of people from '83 to '87.

I could remember names and faces I had forgotten.
In the dreams, there was a struggle to see which side I was on.  Did Straight "help" me, or "hurt" me.  I wouldn't put on a "seven step ring", so a girl staff member kneed me in the balls.  Hurt so bad I woke up.

Does anyone know what issues of periodicals Straight appeared in?  I know People Magazine did some stuff about Princess Di and Nancy Reagan coming to VA in fall of '85.  National Geographic did something after that, probably '86.  John Krakauer did a story on a Utah based boot camp in the '90's I think.

I think Reader Digest did something.

I loved the book, she did a great job on it, got the truth out there.

They had him brainwashed pretty darn good from what I read.  They should have looked into his allegations and left him alone and he would be having dinner at the Sembler's today, instead of protesting them.
