I'm not trying to be a dick or a know it all,but I believe the camaro you are referring to would be a Yenko unless your just yanko ing my chain. Also the 1st year for the Impala was 58. I have a freind with a 58 and it looks a lot like the cristine car.Moreso than a 57 anyway.[ This Message was edited by: xres8182 on 2006-04-30 09:44 ]

It really is suppose to be Yenko, but over the years people also refered to it as Yanko, On his rear quarter panel it is spelled Yenko. do a search on the net, you'll see what I mean. The impalla is a 58, I meant it looked like a 57 fury, sorry about that.

You should've seen it Jim Bob, what I seen on the road yesterday. First off the other day I saw an old challenger with a shaker hood, fat tires in the back beautiful paint job, sorry i couldnt take a pic. Then yesterday I saw a look like a 70 z28 with fat rear tires and a nice hood scoop or is it scoup? Everyone around here is sporting some kind of classic now these days except me.

DOHC aluminum V6 6 speed sucka! I'm not sayin it's FAST but it is fun and snappy. Only gets about 25 to the gallon and does 0-60 in under 7 sec. Kiss my ass bitch.

Oh please Jim Bob, its a Hyundai for Christs sake! Hyundai, cars that are readily made available to the needy. I understand fully how you say you use it as a comuter car, BUT, Hyundai are the cheapest things on wheels next to a Kia.

Onto a different note since this thread has turned into a car topic. I'm sure you have heard of K&N air filters, do you use them? I just bought one yesterday for one of my vehicles. The store I purchased it from had this air machine display where it shows how the K&N filter allows more air flow vs a standard air filter.
On the box says it can increase hp 5-15 hp, blah blah blah, I bought it for the better air flow so that my engine can breath better. I am not one of those people who buy into the gimmicks where certain add ons create and give you more hp. I have a Flowmaster exahust on my vehicle which has a 351 engine, I found no increase in power, at least I didnt notice it.
The sales Woman at the counter said that alot of her customers that bought the K&N filter for their vehicle have noticed better gas mileage out of their vehicle after purchasing and installing the filter, just was curious if you Jim Bob have ever used a K&N and whats your thoughts were about them.

Older applications like your 8-351w engine, wont make a noticeable difference.these filters work much better in a newer non egr systems, that regulate air flow. your kidding yourself and your salesperson has done a great job.She got your cash

Like I said Jim Bob, i bought it for better air flow, not hp gain. Had an interesting afternoon yesterday tapping out broken plugs in my engine, goddamn things snapped right off. Had to chisel one with a nail and crank over the engine and let the compression shoot the broken peices out. What a fuckin nightmare!

I think K&N's horsepower claims are way over exagerrated, to say the least. I installed cone filters on both my GT and All-Trac, didn't notice any change over the OEM airbox filters

Thats why I didnt buy inot that upgrade. I saw this display thingy for K&N, it showed how the air was restricted in flow vs when you slapped on the K&N filter, the air flowed much better. I said what the hey, and bought it.    And it does make my motor perform better, especially when I am towing. Better gas mileage when I am towing? NO. But I definately feel a difference in the way the engine acts now.
