Classic radio shows:
Dragnet_"The Big Press"(195?),
followed by another ol' radio show "Calling All Detectives" and then a short monologue(maybe 12 minutes) by Andy Griffith, way back in the day. "What I' twas, Was Football".  Very entertaining.  This was all on some public radio station as I was crossing some ol' appalachain mountain in my truck after nightfall.

Listened to some cd my cousin gave me labeled as "Fleetwood Mac in Chicago 1969 with Buddy Guy, Willie Dixon, Shaky Horton, Otis Spann, Honeyboy Edwards..." and what looks to be "...S. P. Leary" but I couldn't tell that there was any Fleetwood mac on it a'tall.  Just all killer ol' blues is all. :poison:    :poison:

Been listenin to Blues Traveller too_ "Run-Around" and "Hook".  These 2 songs are joyous celebrations of life and will drive you to dance and sing and otherwise join in.  Everyone knows John Popper is an innovative and energetic harmonica player but he's an incredible vocalist too.  His songs tell stories that reach the listener.  My younger brother has told me stories of goin to see Blues Traveller back in the day when they would play places like Rutgers University.  That must 'a' been cool.  I saw them once myself, years ago when they came to Pittsburgh.  John Popper came on stage in a wheel chair and played the whole show that way.

The Hook brings you back muther fuckers! :rocker:

If you would have justice in this world, then begin to see that a human being is not a means to some end.  People are not commodities.  When human beings are just to one another government becomes obsolete and real freedom is born; SPIRITUAL ANARCHY.

Hot Buttered Rum String Band_8/25/04(the highlight of this set is an impressive cover of Elton John's "Rocket Man")

Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros_"Johnny Appleseed", "Cool 'n' Out", ""Global-A-Go-Go", "Bhindi Bhagee", "Gamma Ray"

Little Feat_Hoy-Hoy, side 1: "Rocket In My pocket", "Rock And Roll Doctor", "Skin It back", "Easy To slip", "Red Streamliner"(v)

Robert Palmer_Some People Can do what they like: "One Last Look", "Keep In Touch", "Man Smart, Woman Smarter", "Spanish Moon"(Lowell George cover), "have Mercy", "Gotta get A Grip On You(Part 2)", "What can you Bring Me", "Hard head", "Off The Bone", "Some People Can do What they like"(v)

Some People Can Do What they Like has a heavy Little Feat influence, and in fact most of the members of Little Feat appear on it.

Harry Belafonte_"Jamaica Farewell"(v)
