No, that was Mudhoney (a better but not as well-known band from Seattle concurrent with Soundgarden) who covered that.

My bad, I knew it was one of those Seattle bands, I like Mudhoney a lot better than Soundgarden, who are OK in my book, just not as cool as Mudhoney.  Check out "Blinding Sun" by Mudhoney, it sounds like an Elevators song, and the song "Thirteenth Floor Opening" is a direct reference to them.  Death to all who oppose Roky.

Damn good record.  "Dirty Blue Gene", "Run Paint Run Run", "Sheriff of Hong Kong", what a fine work of art Mr. Van Vliet has bestowed upon us. Eric Drew Feldman plays keys on that one, he was with Pere Ubu when I saw them open for the Pixies in '91 or so.  Damn I'm old.

Johnny Cash--Best of....1956-1981

REM--Document

Blue Oyster Cult--Blue Oyster Cult

Hank Williams III--Outlaw Rising

Coincidentally, both the Johnny Cash and the Hank III have the song "Cocaine Blues" on them, which mentions shooting cocaine.  Oh the irony.

If you would have justice in this world, then begin to see that a human being is not a means to some end.  People are not commodities.  When human beings are just to one another government becomes obsolete and real freedom is born; SPIRITUAL ANARCHY.
