Motorhead_No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith

It's the German in me that makes me so thorough.

I like it better this time. Still not to sure about these guys though.  I'm not into too much punk music for the same reason I aint too into Motorhead.  Although I am into the social philosophy.  Motorhead and punk appeals more to my spirit than my senses.  Institutions of Authority are built on the insecurities of the fearful and are intended to disempower those whose constitutions don't require such illusions.

Yeah, I hear ya, a healthy dose now and then...

But I love that album! What a fucking great live album that is!
It had the energy that got me through a slimy night of working drunk in the kitchen. Good times!

It's not as good as say, AC/DC Live at Atlantic, but pretty damned good... Speaking of live albums, check out Creedence Live In Europe!

Have you ever heard to the 1st Bad Brains album? It was released sometime around 1980. I'll bet you would dig that... Punk Rastas!

Try some Rammstein, Boehse Onkelz or Die Toten Hosen!

Die Toten Hosen is maybe a bit too punk for ya, but I am sure you'll like the others!  Just ask if you need a translation!

I need to hear more punk music.  I'm interested in The Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, The Kramps and Jello Biafra spoken word stuff and the like.

The thing that I find appealing is all the intrigue.  The Mythology of Motorhead.... kinda.  I know what you mean about the energy on that album though.  Yeah, they are tearin the place down!  See, I never heard much Motorhead at all until about 3 years ago.  Today was about the 4th time I ever listened to them.

I don't know nothin about that Bad Brains album.

If you would have justice in this world, then begin to see that a human being is not a means to some end.  People are not commodities.  When human beings are just to one another government becomes obsolete and real freedom is born; SPIRITUAL ANARCHY.

Ok, so WebDiva's mention of Steppenwolf got me in the mood for some good stuff from the 60's...

Strawberry Alarm Clock- 'Sit With the Guru'
Steppenwolf- 'The Pusher'
The Nomads-  'Where the Wolf Bane Blooms'
Iron Butterfly- 'Filled with Fear'
The Kinks - 'Rats'
The Doors- 'Wild Child' , 'Break on Through'

Close!  No, no...it means the dead trousers and it's an idiom for someone who is a bore!

Come to think of it, you'd prolly like 'em.  They started off punk and have mellowed over the years.  One of the hottest bands in Germany and have been for about the past 15 years.  I saw them in concert, too!  8-)

Which other ones?  Rammstein and Boehse Onkelz?  You'll most assuredly like them!!!

But all the text is all in German, but the music is enough!

Rammstein is an airbase in Germany, where there was a horrible accident with an airshow...lots of people killed.  The group sparked a major upheaval with the name.  Their music is brilliant!  Absolutely brillant!  The lyrics never really quite fit to the music, which is part of their sarcastic charm.  And the things they sing about are so ironic, strange, gruesome, you name it!  I've never heard anything remotely like it!  And don't fall for the English translated CDs...they don't translate it the way it was written.  It's basically a whole other song and meaning.

Boehse Onkelz (Bad Uncles) are pretty much banned in Germany.  It's hard to find a music store that carries anything by them.  They are too 'right wing' in their lyrics (I don't really see it, but...whatever).  That's Germany.  The band took off to Argentina...like some of their forefathers did.  Their music is great regardless of their political, social, cultural views.
