My '69 Gretsch through the Mesa Mark IIB, Jason's SG through his Dual Rectifier and his cousin on drums. We played some old AC/DC tunes: Live Wire, Overdose, What's Next to The Moon, Down Payment Blues.. We also played "Los Angeles" by X and some of Jason's originals...Rock & Roll!

I salute you! Froderick! FTW... Take no prisoners. Fuck authority! Rock and Roll!  The Mighty God is a Livin Man!

RTP, You seem to know about Fleetwood Mac.  I grew up listenin to 'em.  I always thought they were a cool band.  Easy cool.  Real down to earth-like.  Great rhythyms.  They're really a killer fantastic rhythym band.  Very subtle skills.  "World Turnin" is one of my favorites.  I will have to check out the earlier version you mentioned.  I don't know too much about all their history and all the discography an' such but their 1975 self-titled release and 1977s _Rumors have been huge influences on me personally.  Lindsey Buckingham can play a very nice guitar.  I got a Buckingham/Nicks record too.

On Deck: Fleetwood Mac

Hey, rip me some Cracker, please. I want to hear what they do when they're not in Parkersburg.

Did you go to the show yet?  How was it?

Yeah, weekend before last. It was pretty good. Rodrigo Y Gabriela were probably the best act. Not only are they both just amazing musicians, they have some fuckin awsome energy together. Jeff Lang is really good too. I was dissapointed in Cracker. Seems they were playing to the local culture more than I'd like. Very bluegrass, which is fine if you like it. That's what my brother's into. He's a big Greg Brown fan, he is. If I had it to do over, I might well have tried to talk my bro out of the hills entirely and done CVB in Blitzburgh instead.

Most definitely!  Future Games is a great record.  I really like the Peter Green era of the band, too.  Really, they are three different bands with the same name and rythm section:  The blues rock jamming of Peter Green's era; the pre-Buckingham.Nicks era band, which included Bob Welch for two or three records, and the most well-known incarnation, the Rumours line up.  I like a good bit of all threebands, the only stuff I don't like at all is the stuff they did after Tusk, it's more formula than inspiration by that point.

It's hard to stay good for a long time... ... ...trust me...I know.  Like *you need to be told.   8)

CTI Summer Jazz All-stars_Live One At the Hollywood Bowl(cassette tape)

Dennis Brown_Love and Hate(quickly becoming my favorite reggae album, 5 stars!)

Reconstruction_1979 boot

Moody Blues and the London Symphony Orchestra_Days of Future Passed(some interesting musical juxtapositioning here)

Zion-I_True and Livin(some righteous, jazzy cool hip hop)

Climax Blues Band_Sense of Direction(vinyl)

*"I want you" should be read as: "you need".  some strange computer pattern is misrepresenting the characters I typed.

A bunch of Miles Davis from throughout his carer, but somewhat focused on Birth Of The Cool.

Also Iceburn Collective, an eclectic, somewhat fusion-like expiramental band.  Some stuff of theirs from the late 90s.

Gotta get some Sonny Sharrock and show 'em how he did it.......

Picked up some Gov'ment Mule last night.  Their first.  Haven't made it through the whole thing yet though.

Also got the "Grateful Dead Movie"  I seen it before, but this DVD has a whole bunch of bonus songs not on the original VHS tape.  All the bonus material is the really headdy stuff.  Beginning with a bad-ass "Sugaree" - "...Shake it...shake it...Sugaree...just don't tell 'em that you know me..." and ending with one of my all-time favorites "Weather Report Suite"

Last night while I was watchin' that movie I once again come to a whole new level of appreciation for Jerry Garcia.  As a blues musician and a kind-hearted man.

Picked up Some Derick Trucks too but haven't listened to it yet.
