I was there in 76-77. The Camerons just took over. I remember that girl jumping out the window..Some girl Misty getting stabbed.. 60 minutes came..I remember those damm flicker razors!!! Demerits..no Friday or Sat nite ice cream..big deal.. aunt nener...which was a nasty old bitty....Mrs Yoder and Mrs Bradley were really sweet ladies...some loud mouth teacher..Forgot his name..Mrs Cameron always seemed to have PMS, or a bitch disorder.Taco was there and twins with long hair..some black chick from Africa..
Geeze the crazy things that went on there..I hated it there, and my parents paid them all very well..I also remember a good friend I had there..Annette Williford..nick name (poo). From Lufkin,Tx..
I lived in CC Tx untill 1982.

Aunt Nener appeared to be a bitty to me also.
Yet I saw her save a girls life that was near death by sneaking the girl to the hospital.
The woman also took up for girls when it was their year and they wanted to go home and the dormparents wouldnt let them.Aunt Nener would go to bat for some girls, not all though. But all in all I thought she was strict but fair. She and Ms. Yoder were the only few who would actually ask us how our day was going. Small talk but at the time meant the world to me.

As far as I know, Mrs. Yoder is still kicking unless she has passed since around 2001. I was in the home from April of 1999 to April of 2000.  I have to agree that at times, it was hard, but that place saved my life!
