What is wrong with some of you people?
I came across this site a few months ago and was really happy to be able to connect with other former straight members. Most of the threads were about issues that we can all relate to with the occasional stupid, juvenile topic thrown in.
No big deal, easy enough to just ignore.
So... I log back on to see what's been happening and now it's just filled with threads attacking  people. Calling them child abusers and pedophiles, saying all kinds of horrible things.
Whether this is the work of just one person or many, it is very disturbing. We are all adults ( I think)and to treat one another like this is inexcusable.
It saddens me to think that there are people who will find this site, read some of this trash, and decide not to come back.
If you feel the need to attack people and say such horrible things, then I suggest you get some proffesional help. You have problems that go WAY beyond being in straight.I feel sorry for your family members. To live with someone that is filled with so much hate must be truly frightening.

Yeah, frustrating.  A couple of people have taken a vow to be the biggest pricks possible in order to try and force Ginger to cede to their demands.

If you find reading the trash and venom that some people write " interesting" than you probably would come back. Not everyone feels that way though

You are seeing the dark side of having an open forum.

Open forums don't screen the participants, and you get all types such as recently demonstrated....  Angry, abusive, mentally ill, socially retarded, wounded and stuck in their childhoods.

They all come to bitch and moan about the free forum they participate in, seldom offering anything constructive.

They are boring children left to play without adult supervision.  Nothing more.

That's why it's a good idea to pick a user name. Then people can read or ignore you depending on why they come here. Many of the bag heads "anonymous" users hide in that bag because they know they'll be ignored if they identified themselves in any way.

  No kidding.  I've read this site off and on for a while, and find it unreal how immature and vindictive so many posters here are.  I see no one really PROCESSING issues they have, but more just slander, cursing, and juvenile remarks about previous staff at various programs.  To be STUCK in this mode is really unbelievable.
  Many will claim they are trying to help put an end to these types of programs.  Well... how long has FORNITS been around, and WHAT programs has it shut down?!

Fornits is one the programs that needs to be shut down. People come here in pain and get reabused by other Straight survivors, including the moderators, who troll and post anonymously as much as anyone. Observe Ginger and GregFL. They are some of the most abusive people here, you think they never troll you? They are supposedly so over Straight that they will literally tell you people should quit talking about "how broken Straight made you." As if they are in any position to say anything about what stage another survivor is at to tell them that.

Too bad we don't have any fucking moderation. Who can even come here, knowing they might be the next one to get called a pedophile and the moderator won't do a damn thing about it.

If she doesn't take that pedophile stuff down on other Straight survivors, she better park her car where a dump truck load of manure doesn't accidentally get unloaded onto it. She better have good antidotes to all the pests that are going to be unleashed on her garden next spring. She can get ready for the rumors that will start spreading around Monessen, Pennsylvania. Hmmn. This may be simpler than I thought. I wonder how angry the people of Monessen would be if THEIR names started going up on fornits: Cici Pinkerton, of Monessen, PA, Pedophile. Alright, that'll save some of us some cash and travel time.

The only reason you have not gotten a black eye yet is a simple matter of distance. I certainly don't condone violence, especially as we have hardly exercised all of our non-violent options. I was simply showing how & why it is that you can get away with this forum. Think local. Would you let all kinds of slanderous signs on your neighbors stay on your property?
