Happy Holidays John Underwood

I have moved around alot during my years and went to alot of different schools and of course the Seed.  And when I found this site awhile back I thought great!!!!!  I can communicate with people I know...... because you lose  contact with everybody once you move out of state. And it's FREE......haha
We had just left the Seed and moved to a very small farming town in northwest Ohio.  There were no locks on the lockers at the school and there was never any theft whatsoever. It was a great place to finish off our teen years.  But the problem was we were shunned by all of our peers and made fun of by the jocks, none of these people even knew we went to a drug rehab . So life went on and I loved living on the farm with my parents and siblings. My sister and I made ONE friend in that school, so we would pack lunches and off we'd go on the horses miles away just to picnic and have adventure.
Why am I writing this?  Because I do want to communicate with my fellow Seedlings.
I spent 9months at the Seed.     When I first started posting I would get the feeling that I had when I was in the Seed.  Kinda like walk on eggs so you don't get attacked for saying the wrong thing or being accused of using.  What crap!!!!
We are older,  I'm 50.  and a grandmother.  I have a son who just turned 30yrs old, who in the last few months tried to take his life and ended up in some shithole drug rehab for the homeless.  So I guess the question is who is he going to blame for his short commings???? anyone???? huh???
Anyways........  Merry Christmas to John Underwood.

I think, echothis, she meant those of us who disagree about the seed experience.

Yes, we are 50 or so, mostof us.  The pain of being locked up, or strung out on dope, has been replaced with the joys and disapointments of mid life.  We all do share a common bond whether we agree or not.

Merry christmas/holiday season to all who read this forum.  I know it has been slow lately, but that does not mean it hasn't been in our minds.

To the new person who found this website and wants to reunite with people, hello and Merry Christmas.  So which location were you in?
I have reunited with a few friends and have had a blast getting to know them again.

I am sorry about your son, but hopefully he will gain some strength from you and learn to live again.

Merry Christmas.

Cassandra I want to apologize.  As I read your post the second time I realized what you were saying.... then it was to late as I had already posted.   Lesson learned.

Magpie was asking what location I was at.  It was in Fort Lauderdale not sure if that's what is called the Andrews location or not.
Art would talk about the one they had just moved out of because it had gotten so small for them.  He told us how the old timers wrote the Seed Song.  I don't remember the story.  But I do remember he had fond memories of it.  He was like a proud papa kinda ....
and I'm not saying that with admiration.  I never admired him or anyone else there.
This place was a white two story house.  If you were looking at the front of this house to the right was a rather large open yard.  We had our Christmas out there, singing songs all night long or until ten.  I'll never forget that night.  I had to pee really bad starting around noon that day and by the time I got home I thought I was going to die!!!!! Thru the whole 9months of going to the Seed I only went to the bathroom once while there.  I was sooooo shy I couldn't get up the courage to ask if i could go.  The one time that I did go we were having a chicks rap meeting around the side of the house and we were walking past the port a johns and I just made a bee line to it.   And I do remember people asking if they could go to the bathroom but I don't remember anyone being escorted,  especially if they weren't high risk.
Now eating was right on the same level for me.  I don't think I ever ate a bite or drank anything that was offered me... ever...   plus I couldn't afford to because then I'd have to go.......   But I wouldn't have anyways.
We didn't have a building we were in.  We were outside all the time.I guess looking back at it now I'm glad we weren't in some building shut up.  People would drive by and yell The Seed Suck's all the time.  Anyone remember the Seed tee shirts?

Remember the seed t-shirts?  The first post in this forum mentions them...

Being forced to wear that Seed T-shirt was always a humiliating experience for me.

I think I was there when the shirts first came out and I think it was "72".  I don't remember ever being forced to wear it though....We had a 4th of July party on Fort Lauderdale Beach with a Christmas Tree on the beach,  Art and everyone was there and I remember most people wearing their Seed T shirts.  I have an old picture of a group of us wearing them.  I do remember feeling as an outsider at the time and a small group of us never even went close to where the party was going on.  We kinda did our own thing.  Which was pretty cool considering who we were suppose to be with.
I think things changed alot after the Seed moved from the old house in Fort Lauderdale cause some of the things I read in past post don't compute.
Hope ya all had a Merry Christmas.

Susie,

Just remember...
"You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friends nose"

Where would we be without plastic Jesus riding on the dashboard of our cars?

"Buckle up for safety always buckle up, show the friends you care by the belt you wear buckle up for safety everybody buckle up
