Holy shit, folks. I think Sammie's right. I think our story just sprouted some legs. Daily Kos picked up John Gorenfeld's story.

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2005/11/8/95950/1889

AND he's adding relavent info AND people seem to be getting the point! Please, anyone who's interested, read up on these articles, blogs and commentary, hawk the stuff out to anyone you think might take an interest and toss in your own 2¢ if you're so moved. Don't force it, though. The idea is to join the conversation, answer the questions that people are asking, not to derail interest to some set cause or agenda.

Oh... uh... not that it would be a bad thing, but they're all peppering their articles and comments w/ links back here (thestraights.com is hosted by Fornits too) This may result in a substantial bandwidth bill. I'm used to carrying about $30 - $50 a month, 100% offset by paying customers. But if it hits 3 digits or more, I may have to resort to panhandling again as I did when I first posted these transcripts from a WWASP lawsuit. So don't go callin' me a dirty, rotten, capitalistic profiteer if that happens.

The overwhelming majority of people have more than the average (mean) number of legs.

Holy Sheep Shit, Batman!

Thursday's Washington Post!!!!

Quote
Bloggers, Meet the Pod People

Local radio host Mark Levine (His tag line: "All the news from Washington that the government doesn't want you to know'') jumped mike-first into the on-demand audio movement a few months ago, podcasting his one-hour daily talk show that airs on Leesburg-based WAGE-AM (1200).

Full Text

Anybody in the WAGE-AM broadcast area?

He, who has nothing, and who himself belongs to another, must be defended by him, whose property he is, and needs no arms. But he, who thinks he is his own master, and has what he can call his own, ought to have arms to defend himself, and what he possesses; else he lives precariously, and at discretion.

i won' 'cause i think i see how y'are.  Antigen.  i hear what you say.  i fe'l ya.  i want the same things and yet i counsel patience.  i will back you up.  i will even speak m'own peace, when i feel my own mortality counselin' me.  Fred says Death is always jus' over your shoulder.  'course i knew that but that's what he says.  i don' follow nobody but, you represent well.

Although since we're on the subject i liked the ol' name of the forum better.

i would like to talk to this Gorenfeld cat.  i would tell him about how princess Diana came to the Springfield program and how my friend, Steve, killed himself.

i would tell him how i lived through it.

If you would have justice in this world, then begin to see that a human being is not a means to some end.  People are not commodities.  When human beings are just to one another government becomes obsolete and real freedom is born; SPIRITUAL ANARCHY.

Thanks, man.

I got a reason for the name change and I just gotta see if it plays out. If I explained it that would poison the well. So I just have to wait a bit and see if it happens or if it backfires. I hope you understand.

Ya know, I don't know how many lines they have, but you can listen to the show on hold if you call in. It's toll free.

Oh, and btw, you missed out on some exquisite crepes by not driving down here to listen. Your loss. :-b Maybe next time.

Give to every other human being every right that you claim for yourself - that is my doctrine.

i didn' really mean ta bring the whole name change thing back up, but somehow it slipped in to my stream of concsiousness.

i'm sure comin' down to your place and eatin' exquisite crepes, while listenin to the show would have been a real good time.

Props to all those who represented.
