All joking aside, I can tell you for a fact that you aren't going to get a goddamn red cent for a being on the hot end of a flame war on a message board.
Firstly, it's not criminal, so you won't have recourse by that route. Even if it were criminal - which it is not - you would have an interstate harassment claim to prove. Good luck with that.
Secondly, in order to receive "damages" (either compensatory or punitive) you will need to prove you suffered financial loss as a direct result of "the reporter's" actions. If you can't show economic loss, you can't sue for damages. It's really that simple.
Don't forget that you were the one who offered up your full, legal name as well. By doing so, you opened the door for others to reprint it. Before you outed yourself, you were just some guy named "Artman11111." That was your own stupid mistake and it is a valid defense to any claim you may make against others. They didn't even know your name until YOU volunteered it.
Believe me when I tell you. I have personal experience being on the receiving end of the same type of shit, but FAR WORSE, including direct threats of bodily harm, arson of my property and more.
What has been said on this board hardly rises to the criminal level, causes no financial loss and, in case you may not have noticed, you participated in threatening others with violence and made lewd sexual comments to some who may prove to be minors who posted here. Your case, if it even could be brought, is crippled by your own behavior.
By the way, just having an IP address means nothing without a MAC address, subpoeanaed records from the ISP of the "offender" corroborating the times and dates of the postings AND subpoenaed records from the server upon which they were hosted, which, I believe, is in Canada.
Good luck getting international law enforcement cooperation to break up what amounts to a pissing contest between two adults on a message board.
Grow up. If you weren't so goddamn compulsive about reading and responding to this shit, you'd realize, in the end analysis, nobody that matters reads it anyway.
